Nice but something was missing, though staff went out of their way to accomodate us.
Bed was comfortable. View from room 3 was nice.
Staff was hovering. Not a lot of breakfast choices. Apple juice instead of sparkling wine/beer at reception. no face cloth. no top sheet. Comforter was too hot. Not a hospitable feel. Intial reception was a bit off putting -- forms to fill out, demand to see passport, etc. Staff did supply tape and scissors so we could wrap art we bought in Skye. But something was a bit off. There were unnecessary rules: we weren't supposed to use the door closest to the parking lot, even when it was raining. Staff ran out with umbrellas when we arrived during a shower. At times the attention was too much. Tub in room 3 was in the bedroom. Room was nice but too many decorative pillows in the way, no robe. I expected more for the price and compared to other places we stayed.

Toast served before breakfast so was cold for having with honey etc. Missing bacon from order placed. But we thought the service was very good. Jenny very good

Luxurious Scotland getaway
It was a fantastic historical building, beautifully restored in a tasteful style. The rooms were gorgeous and spotlessly clean, and the guests were taken care of to perfection.
