Sylvan Wood, Gorgeous Views, Lake District, Kendal

Beautiful house with 4 spacious double bedrooms, 2 kitchens and 2 living areas. Lovely decoration. Very clean and tidy. Views were incredible from practically every room. Very well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Shops and cafes were a short drive away. Both the owner of the house and the company that runs the business were friendly and helpful. Fantastic stay

No central heating so it was hard to dry clothes when it was raining outside. The airer in the kitchen was not enough for our large family and amount of clothes unfortunately. The TV in the annexe living room was not working so maintenance came around that afternoon but someone had removed the Firestick so it could not be fixed during our stay. That was a small issue though. Maintenance also looked at the broken blinds in the kitchen and parts were on order. This was also a small issue that didn't really affect our stay. There are no amenities in walking distance (unless you like a walk of course) because the house is on a country road but you just have to drive 4 or 5 minutes out to get to everything

We had an excellent stay with our family visiting from abroad, the location was superb, facilities as described and a big decent sized lounge with a gorgeous view to play card games in! What was a pleasant surprise was the communication from Team Laik from the very start, they shared useful information on what to do in the lakes (very helpful as it was our first time visiting) as well as detailed guides on using the house facilities, parking etc.
