A magnificent three-storey property set in its own grounds, this home-from-home is the ideal location for a tranquil, restful holiday, for family or friends seeking a relaxing get-together or celebratory gathering. It is an easy drive from the Lake District National Park with its breathtaking scenery and attractions. Staveley is a historic village with plenty of delicious eateries. Head to nearby Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, less than 5 miles away, to experience the charming lakeside views, opportunities to take to the water on a steamer, or to stay landside and indulge at a wide range of popular eateries. The picturesque mountain landscapes are a beacon for hikers with gentle walks at Tarn How or the challenge of Scafell Pike, both within 20 miles. Otherwise, you can head 5 miles to visit The Beatrix Potter Attraction or Brockhole, which are perfect for families of all ages, and are only 6.5 miles away.

This characterful, detached house is a Grade II-listed building that was meticulously renovated in 2021 to create a harmonious blend of original architectural features and contemporary comfort. Admire the original beamed ceilings and rustic charm alongside stylish and homely decor that creates a warm, inviting and superior feel. Enter the hallway and on the ground floor, you'll find plenty of spaces for socialising and a piano for those who love a sing-along. The spacious lounge, with walls adorned with pictures, has generous sofas for relaxing and a wood burner for chilly evenings, making it the heart of the home. Watch a movie together on the Smart TV. A second living space with the dining area provides an additional space for all ages to come together for conversation, feasting and fun. Both lounge areas have delightful views of the surrounding rural landscape. The beautiful farmhouse-style kitchen has all the appliances you need to create a celebratory meal, and a kitchen table to keep things sociable for the cook. Head upstairs to the first floor from the hallway, past the bookcase, and you will find three elegant bedrooms: one four-poster super-king-size with garden views and an en-suite with a slipper bath, and two king-size bedrooms. There is also a splendid bathroom on this floor with a slipper bath, walk-in shower and WC. On the second floor, you'll find the final bedroom, with two single beds in the eaves, exposed beams that bring plenty of character to the space, and a contemporary en-suite shower room.

A large, enclosed garden and a terrace with garden furniture provide the perfect spot for a relaxing morning coffee or some al fresco dining with a glass of wine as you enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. Hedges and stone walls enclose the garden, with three wooden farm gates that can be kept shut. There are numerous walks possible from the front door. Private parking is available for four cars.
