Bannerrigg, a fabulous celebration house with hot tub and cinema in Windermere at the heart of the E

Good communication prior to the stay with clear information about the accommodation. The electronic guide is a good idea. Hot tub and cinema room a bit of luxury. Need clearer information about hypoallergenic pillows and duvets. I made a call to the proprietors and was advised some beds had these on and we would need to look around. Only found 2 non duck feather pillows and no duvets were duck feather free. We had to buy additional hypoallergenic pillows and take the duvets out the duvet covers so we could use the duvet covers. This was okay due to the heat but it would have been an issue if the weather was colder. If we had known that covers and pillows had duck feathers in then in advance we would have asked for hypoallergenic. There seemed to be no provision to sort things after arrival, Lovely touch to have prosecco, tea, coffees and sugar there was no milk provided. Some items need updating/replacing. Cushions in the lounge were not comfortable to sit on. The shower in room 1 was not very warm. In hot weather the top room is very warm. It would be helpful to provide fans for use. Plentiful crockery and cutlery provided. Good facilities in the kitchen. Helpful that we could park before check in to visit the local area. We had a lovely stay overall.

Stayed for the weekend for my 40th birthday, there were 16 of us and the house was perfect! It was the best weekend ever. The house was immaculately clean, big enough so that we could all have space but still a homely feel to celebrate. The cinema room was a fantastic addition! And of course the hot tub! The customer service was brilliant. And we couldn’t hear any of the other parties going on around us…we made lots of noise and I’m sure the hen party next door did too! But we didn’t disturb each other at all. Absolutelyvideal. Would absolutely fully recommend a stay here!

We stayed at the Bannerrigg for a long weekend for my sisters hen do. We were all so impressed by the house and the facilities. From the outdoor hot tub cinema room and massive dining area, with just a 5 minute walk into the village we were so close to all the shops and restaurants and enjoyed a lovely walk. Andy and Barbara were so helpful with all my queries and always had quick replies to anything I asked. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone to stay there.

12 of us stayed here celebrating 3 x 50th birthday's. The house had everything and more that we needed. Located close to the railway station and bus stop made getting around easy. The only downside was the water pressure in the attic shower if others were being used was almost none existent. Lovely relaxing accommodation.
