Great few days away

We had a absolutely amazing time, it was clean, the location was great for what we wanted to do, and we loved the firepit. The views from here are great and we had a beautiful sunset and sunrise every day. So peaceful and calm and relaxing. Just what we needed. Even our little dog 🐕 daisy enjoyed herself. Thank you for a amazing 4day's 👏 we'll definitely will be back.

Very quiet location. We had everything we needed, having the BBQ is an extra perks of the place. Our dog loved the field and running around.

The track is behind one of the bedrooms. The train runs quite often even during the night so the noise can be distracting.

Nice environment and room

The room is nice and comfortable. The BBQ facility outside the house is really good. The host is really nice to provide the details location and how to get to the apartment a day before.

However, no aluminium foil and pan or coffee machine in the apartment. It will be difficult for us to cook some simple breakfast.

Great Dog Friendly Location!

Great for dog owners. Nice space to sit outside and enjoy dinner with BBQ and Pizza oven on site to use, as well as fire-pit. Great off-lead area for dogs to run around and facilities in the room to enjoy tea, coffee, toast and microwave meals and provides all utensils required. Small space so pack light but great for a few nights. Overall good value for the facilities and would stay again.

A few dog hairs in the room. Couldn't work out the Wi-Fi. If your looking to explore Town, Lake District etc. you will need to drive as accommodation located out of town.

Great place to stay with family and dogs, facility’s have everything you need. Enclosed field for dogs is a great bonus

Not sure about this one

Good location, just outside of Kendal, peaceful for the most part (there is a train line very close by). Reasonably priced. Good shower as in water pressure.

Not the cleanest of places (the rugs need a serious clean) and the place needs some updating. The sofa bed had a funny smell to it, so not the best of experiences for the person sleeping on it, it was also not very comfortable. Barely any space left with the sofa bed in use. Also, there is no storage, so if you are there for longer, you'd struggle with your things. The water in the bathroom sink and shower drained slowly.

Fantastic, will be back.

Great location, plenty to see and do within 30mins of the property windemere and Ambleside both great but also great if you just wanted to chill out and get away from busy city life. Great area for dogs on site and very good bbq on each barn.

Very small thing, could do with a hoover, just with the kids and dog and the weather being as it was felt like a lot of loose grass/leaves were getting brought in.

Great weekend

Stable was very clean and well equipped had everything you needed. They even ha e a bbq outside each stable for you yo use, and pizza oven, can't say anything bad , it was perfect for what we needed. Would stay again

great location, facilities and helpful staff, we had a brilliant time thank you!

We booked for a group of 8 adults but the barn and pod together in a heatwave was really not liveable!There wasn't enough space for everyone and the heat without a fan was unbearable , the staff were very accommodating and made our stay as comfortable as possible, offering other alternatives and getting us a fan which we were really appreciative of but for anyone looking to stay I would say 6 adults max really, smaller children would be fine.

Great little stay for a countryside escape, fun to cook on the bbq when the weather is good!

Lovely view of the countryside, well stocked facilities, very clean and cute accom.

The mattresses are super cheap and not a comfortable night sleep. It’s close to a road where cars speed down right behind your bed at night.

Cosy converted stable block. Tastefully furnished, clean, warm and all we needed to self cater for a couple of days while exploring the lakes. Reliable WiFi and hot shower. Would stay again no question.

Lovely little place

We stayed in the Heather barn. It was warm, cosy and had the basics for everything we needed for a short stay. Easy to find, pleasant location and plenty of parking for all the guests. What let our trip down was no fault of the owners. We could hear our neighbours having a domestic long into the night. Apart from that, lovely stay!

Good value for money, clean accomodation in a great setting. Ray provided a few pointers on where to eat, the Strickland Arms serves excellent food! Fantastic walks in the area easy access to other parts of the Lake District. Thanks, Tom & Lucy

Quiet and tranquil location

The location was great. Quiet and isolated but with a lovely country pub just a few minutes walk away. Facilities were great particularly the BBQ and firepit. We had a lovely weekend.

Lovely little place outside of Kendal

The barn was lovely and warm, everything was very clean and comfortable and there is also underfloor heating. Also it’s very well located for Kendal and the South Lakes.

The only thing stopping this from being excellent was a few bits that would have made it easier for us and not have to keep popping out - there wasn’t any washing up liquid and we only had 2 toilet rolls for the group for a couple of nights that we had to go and get more. Just having a few basic amenities (more toilet roll, oil and washing up liquid) would have helped a lot.

Peace and Tranquility in the countryside

-Great location for traveling about the lakes. Good size accommodation with great facilities. -Clean and Tidy with good quality furnishings. -My dog was welcome and comfortable here. -The sheep were fab and the sheep dog was talented

Mixed group of 18-22 (ish) year olds in the stable block accommodation. Even though they weren’t extremely loud their conversations were distasteful and I didn’t want to listen to their music. They obeyed the rules and went quiet at 11pm. Peace and tranquillity resumed when the neighbours were out!

Great base for exploring Yorkshire Dales & Lakes District

The location was great for exploring the Lakes District and Yorkshire Dales. In the countryside and lovely walks can be done from there. We enjoyed the dedicated undercover barbecue area, individual gas barbecues as well as fire pits! We stayed in one of the small cabins (converted horse stables) which were small but ample for 2 people. Quiet rural area apart from a nearby railway line with trains coming by. WiFi reception was good too.

The trains running nearby throughout the night and a tap in the bathroom which was a bit problematic

Very clean and spacious. Great location. The cabin room was brilliant for our teenage boys. Dogs being allowed was great too and the dog walking field was fab.

Lack of oven was a bit disappointing but it was clearly advertised as not having one … the double bed was a bit uncomfortable after a few nights!!

We loved the privacy and space for the children to play. It was near lots of amenities. There are great family day out venues in the area. We enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit in the evenings. The hosts were responsive to all queries.
