With the living areas set on the first floor, this detached holiday home offers light and airy accommodation with lovely views out towards Farleton Fell.. First Floor:

Bathroom: Bath, Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. . Small lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking. Please note: There is a fenced pond in the garden.. You will find yourself in the middle of the north of England’s most stunning scenery while staying at Farleton View.
Farleton View is named after one of the peaks that are visible from the front of this detached property. On the ground floor is a boot room, great for discarding muddy clothes from a day of exploration. The living room and kitchen/dining room are on the first floor, and offer excellent views out onto the local surrounding area, whilst the bedrooms are a few steps higher and towards the rear of the property, looking out over the garden.
Within a short drive you can be in the market town of Kendal and then on to Lake Windermere, where you can enjoy the Lake District National Park and all that it has to offer. Alternatively, in the opposite direction, head north to Hadrian’s Wall country, with many Roman sites to visit. Journey a little south to the breathtaking Westmorland Dales National Park. Other places worth visiting include Arnside, Morecambe Bay and Kirkby Lonsdale. Beach 9½ miles. Shop 1¼ miles, pub 1½ miles and restaurant 2 miles.

Farleton View in itself is an excellent holiday home, very warm, comfortable and well equipped, lots of books and guides and a really good kitchen. Big picture windows in living room and dining area give extensive views to the south. Kendal is only six minutes drive away with lots of shops. Our only reservation is that maintenance leaves something to be desired, one light bulb in the bedroom was out and the light switch in the smallest bedroom did not work; this had been reported by a previous guest but not fixed. There was also a large pile of recycling outside the back door getting wet, which seemed odd. The back garden can only be accessed via patio doors in a bedroom due to overgrown bushes on the paths, also reported but not fixed.
