To sheep, or not to sheep

Absolutely amazing stay. Secluded, good scenery and multiple bathrooms, what more could you want? If you fancy a relaxing atmosphere where you can become one with nature and take in the natural scenes of Kendal, book this place!

Although overall it was a great place to stay, be warned of the alarm clock sheep who woke me up at 6AM every day with the call of its people. Id maybe recommend taking either ear plugs or a big clump of grass to appease the sheep in the neighbouring fields

Cosy and Homely for Christmas

First time being in a rental property over Christmas, but Spring cottage didn’t disappoint. A cosy and homely cottage, and a lovely Christmas tree and decorations. Very clean and well-equipped for our needs. I was apprehensive about how easy it would be to cook a full Christmas dinner in an unfamiliar kitchen, but Spring cottage had everything we needed in terms of kitchen equipment and all was fine. Small problem with the boiler, but Clive was there within minutes and sorted it out. Great to have on-site parking too. Angela was very prompt at replying to any questions we had.

Superb cottage

The cottage was absolutely beautiful. We booked (very) last minute as a hotel we'd booked in Keswick had to close the day before we were due to arrive. I can't believe that this cottage was available as it was stunning. Views were great and there was a lovely sunset on the first night. It was located up a small country lane and about 5 mins drive from kendal and an asda, to stock up. Lots of parking for several cars. There was a pub about a 5 min walk from the cottage which had been lost in time a little but the food was excellent. Would throughly recommend.

This cottage was superb but the one thing that wasn't great were the signs asking us to clear out the bins, remove bedding etc when we left. I'm happy to do this in the covid era but it felt like we were being told how to leave before we'd even settled in.

Great place for a family get together.

Location and views were fabulous. Hosts were very helpful. Punch Bowl Inn fabulous place for food and with in stumbling distance of cottage. Ample parking. Would thoroughly recommend.

The location was great, walking distance from a pub and close to a supermarket. The cottage was tastefully decorated.

The single beds creak a bit and the mattresses were somewhat hard.
