Perfect weekend

I have had a lovely stay . Pod is very clean , got everything you need minus a hob to cook. A plug in hob would make the pod perfect , it was the only downfall for me. The place is beautiful , so quiet and peaceful, exactly what I needed 10/10 I enjoyed a lovely walk Saturday morning just at the door step of the site , with directions on a leftet provided at the pod. Beautiful scenery , such a fresh , peaceful walk The Brown Horse Inn onsite was lovely. I'd recommend booking as I just turned up lastnight and it was booked up . That being said the male bar tender gave me a reserved table that wasn't needed for 1hr, much appreciated. My drink was served to me at the table , the same bar tender took my food order aswel. Food came out in 10mins max . Very good service , lovely burger and nice cold pint 10/10 👌

overall good - let down by the reception in the bar

the unit was well presented and clean

Tried to call into the pub on the evening - no tables available told we could stand at the bar but my wife has just been trough chemotherapy and needed to sit down ... felt very much in the way of eating guests hostess not friendly

We stayed here for one night. The pod was lovely and clean. The lamps were left on for our arrival which was a great idea as we arrived in the dark. The dog was provided with treats and new toy. Bed very comfortable, bathroom toiletries smelt lovely too. Very quiet outside, we didn’t hear anything just the birds in the trees. Only 5 minutes drive from Windermere.

Great location for a stay in the Lakes, adjacent to a lovely traditional pub. Pods - Quiet, comfy and cosy.

We would have preferred a two seater settee and coffee table rather than table and chairs but that is just a personal preference for us.

Superb Location

Nice quiet location, scenic and a pub right on the doorstep that did great food. The pod itself was clean and modern with a nice bathroom and decking. It wasnt a far trek to the property, private car park provided. Could control the heating yourself. Privacy blinds. Comfortable bed. Perfect location and nearby attractions. Overall incredibly pleased with our stay

We were put into a dog friendly pod and for the first couple of days there was a smell of wet dog but it did fade after a while. The sink plug got jammed and the toilet seat and shower rail kept coming loose. Just minor maintenance issues though. Can't fault otherwise

Great location peaceful but just a few minutes drive to bowness? The pods are so clean and welcoming with everything we needed for our stay! We had dinner in the the pub which was superb and we were made to feel welcome with our small dog!

Beautiful place , would highly recommend!

The pod was absolutely stunning. So cosy and comfortable! We had our dogs with us, there was a welcome pack for the dogs as well as bowls which I thought was a lovely touch. The pods had complimentary items such as coffee sachets , tea , milk and soap In the bathroom and shower. The pods have a key box so check in was super easy! The location was lovely , so quiet and peaceful and close to most places / walks we wanted to do.

I have no negative things to say about the pod , it was lovely! But I feel it would benefit from either blackout blinds or curtains, as the blinds do let a lot of light in at night. But this definitely wouldn't stop us coming back!

Nothing, it’s a lovely getaway. Minor points, would benefit from a few kitchen items such as a bread knife, cutting board.

A wonderful place.

Fabulous stay! I felt very safe & happy staying here as a solo female. My dog Poppy also settled in really well straight away. I would happily stay here again. Great location with lots of walks all around.

Enjoyable stay

Great location, 10mins drive into Bowness. The pods were lovely, very cosy. Good size bathroom and shower. Everything you would need for a short break. Very quiet. We had no problem with parking spaces. Will definitely stay again.

Relaxing stay

Nice location, great for dogs, quiet at night (apart from a visit from foxes in the early hours and their screams). Appreciate the bowls and towel for the dog.

Ran out of milk in the room and the lady at the reception didn't look too happy when asked. They should have a basket out in the reception for tea/coffee, milk and sugar in case people run out in the pods.

Great location, good facilities however barbecue filthy and had no gas on our visit

Great location and the things they got right were great however a few negatives

Barbecue which we had brought our own food for had no gas left and there wasn't any reserve gas tanks and no staff on site, the barbecue was also absolutely filthy and clearly wasn't part of the cleaning schedule

We loved the peace & quiet and how clean everything was. Our little dog loved his treats!

It was extremely hot and the patio was great but there are no sun parasols. We noticed this on the pictures so took our own! Otherwise could not have sat outside till evening as it was unbearable.

Very clean. Shower was very good. It was quite quiet around which meant we slept quite well and had good access to grass for our dog. The food at the restaurant was really good also!

There was a strange noise coming from one of the appliances in the night? (Maybe the fridge?) which woke me up in the night, but I did mention this to the receptionist who said she’d check on it

Lake District Woodland Pods in Winster

The pod was very clean and had all the facilities we needed: fridge, microwave, kettle, iron, hairdryer. Lovely spacious bathroom, great towels! Great accommodation for couples wanting to get away from it all.

The venue is very isolated with just the Brown Horse pub on site. Good food there, but make sure you book a table when you get there, as it does get busy.

Great overnight stay

The pod was really nice. Everything you needed was provided we even got towelling dressing gowns which were a nice touch. Lovey shower gel and condition so much so I have bought some myself. Great location, 5-10 min drive from Windermere. The pub on site do amazing food too. Overall an amazing night away

The temperature inside the unit, lack of parking- the plans show allocated parking and this is not correct and the parking is shared with the pub and there isn’t sufficient parking.

Lovely lodge, perfect for a night!

Lovely lodge, would have benefited from a larger bed but that’s just because we’re used to one at home. The pub on site was fantastic, however of you didn’t want to eat here (which you should!!) there isn’t anything else available.
