We had a lovely stay here. A few finishing touches upstairs would have made a big difference

Comfortable, clean, well-equipped kitchen, wi-fi, garden, downstairs toilet, comfortable seating.

Water not hot enough, no TV in bedrooms. No bedside tables. No light accessible from bed-a lamp would have worked. No mirrors in bedroom.

Overall a pleasant stay and would consider staying again .

The house was spacious and mainly well equipped . The location was good for our trip to the Churnett valley Railway for The Polar Express ,and near to the local Town Centre.

The upstairs floorboards were very noisy and could be heard throughout the house. There was not enough towels for four of us. The only sponge cleaner available was well used and had to be binned, luckily we had brought our own with us .

Lovely stay

The house was spacious, clean. There was 6 of us staying and plenty of room to not be on top of each other. The beds were comfy. We had 2 cars and had no problem with parking both cars outside the property

Not having a welcome book with explanations on how to use the appliances e.g. the electric hob, oven and boiler as we had no hot water when we arrived. The shower head didn't stay in place so had to keep it in our hands whilst showering. As the beds were all doubles it was a tight fit for the adult children sleeping together, could do with 1 room having single beds in it.

Pleasant and enjoyable

Everything was clean and well Maintained

The oven was a bit of a nightmare to operate, but didn’t end up using it in the end. Generally enjoyed staying here, and would definitely stay again. Only downside which is minor, is that it could do with a bedside table and a mirror in the bedrooms

Wouldn't recommend!

Close to Alton Towers

Lack of kitchen equipment. Small things like no bottle opener, scissors, over gloves , toaster all of which were needed during our stay. No working light in one of the bedrooms. Shower terrible and plug doesn't fit bath! But the thing that got to us the most was the absolute stench of stale smoke , particularly in the bedroom I was sharing with my 9 year old daughter. No key for the main front door , just the door into the porch which felt very unsafe. Couldn't open doors from conservatory into garden and the sliding patio doors were almost impossible to open/close!!

Very clean and good TV facilities

Not enough towels, cutlery and just enough plates and the hot water soon ran out. The area felt a little unsafe but that’s not anyone’s fault.

Exceptionally good value for 3 overnight travellers. It could easily accommodate 3 couples.

Extremely well cleaned. The beds and bedrooms were a good size. The heating was already on when we arrived (it was a very cold day).

I think our only complaint was that the plug to the bath didn’t fit properly.

Lovely house,that would be suited to a long or short stay.

Beautiful clean house with all mod cons. Little welcome pack with teabags coffee milk and biscuits was a lovely touch . Just a 15 min walk or 5 min drive from the regent theatre. Would definitely recommend.

Great value for money

Really spacious property great communication from host and nice little extras in the kitchen keeping the kids happy comfy beds and nice bed linen with great little garden space 😀

The conservatory was very hot and we couldn't open any doors or windows as they were locked with no key bit of a fire escape issue rooms could do with a bedside table and lamps
