Would not recommend or stay again

Decent mattresses, good location as attending family funeral within walking distance. Ease of entering property via key code. Bathroom clean.

House cold upon arrival, -10 outside, heating not been on, windows open in the bedrooms and the one in the bathroom was jammed open! Unable to close, Took hours to get warm. Couldn’t find towels which were eventually located in the washing machine, still wet. only came across these as the bedding hadn’t been changed from previous guests so I had to wash the bedding! Sheets dirty, make up, hair and reaked of perfume! No protective sheets on the mattresses. I Wanted to make bacon sandwiches in the morning, no frying pan and oven needed a good clean we would not use. Cutlery draw dirty. Half bottle of milk and half bottle of wine in fridge, not sure if this was our welcome pack. Less than a quarter toilet roll left for us. I would have complained directly but needed to stay near family.

It suited our needs

I was worried as there were some very negative comments about the property but it was fine. Clean and tidy , warm nice hot shower no problem parking on the street

There were 5 adults in our party the space was OK but there are only 4 dining chairs and one bathroom so it would be challenging for a party of eight that the house is advertised as accommodating .

Functional and Secure

Functional and reasonably priced and entry with a pin and cameras around the property helps make you feel safe and the hive is great for heating, owner was brilliant!

The place needs a lot of TLC paint coming off the walls in a lot of places lots of black mould in the shower and visible damp spots all over the house, no freezer either which for anything over a day stay isn't to ideal, sofa is also ruined and needs replacing would be more comfortable sitting on planks of wood, this is not a bad place by any means it just needs a little investment now as it's all looking a little tired

Nice place to stay for short holiday.

Spacious, secure, great communication and staff are always available to meet once inquiry and need.

Need a bucket in the bath 🛁 and cleaners should ensure, the shower should be cleaned properly. Also, a bigger cooking pot would be nice as having up to 8 people in the house requires a bigger pot being provided for cooking.

Ideal property for family weekend whilst visiting Alton Towers.

Lovely property, clean and tidy, good sized rooms. Well equipped kitchen, spacious living area. TV in every room also. Good price for stay

Misleading but decent value for money

Beds were comfy, shower was okay. Streaming services were good. Good value for money

Hole in bathroom flooring, poor cleanliness, slugs all over the kitchen, location bad, parking not great. The was small. Windows don’t close properly. Loads of bug in all areas spiders, moths and flys. No fridge freezer. Staircase is a literal hazard never been more scared going up and down stairs

Weekend trip

Location was perfect for Alton towers trip. Quiet area not a lot of outside noise. Close to central area short walk to shops. Good value

No freezer in the kitchen, no curtains on any of the rooms and daylight was blinding at 5am. Not ideal and did let owners know this. Tv requires individuals to sign into their own accounts and I don’t have those accounts to access tv options Netflix, prime etc. Stairs are steep as are in a lot of older houses of this style not an issue if you’re young and fit.

Very steep stairs needs a second handrail. Bathroom cold window wouldn't close. Curtain needed at bottom of stairs to stop draft would make roo warmer.

Excellent short stay house for Groups!

Location great for trips to Alton Towers. House was well presented and clean. TV systems easy to use. Good kitchen amenities. Thermostat availability. Comfy beds and welcoming bedrooms. Spacious bathroom

Cleaning supplies mentioned in welcome message were unavailable, we had to purchase hand soap and washing up liquid and antibacterial sprays to clean the kitchen - not enough glasses for the amount of people the property can take, we had 4 or 5 glasses between 7 of us
