Beautiful building and location. Friendly stuff and lots of people. Good place to Relax away from Rio chaos for a few days, but a long way to the beach. Pool and the yard is beautiful as well

Best hostel in Rio

Best hostel in Rio!! It feels like being in the middle of the jungle. The staff is very attentive, the vibe is super friendly with lots of events and an active WhatsApp group, and there are tons of common areas to chill in. Amazing view over the Christ. The breakfast is especially generous, and it’s so nice to eat outside with the monkeys and birds!! I can only recommend this hostel — I could have stayed for two weeks!!

Bunk beds not good if you have mobility issues. Wish the bathrooms were attached to rooms. And wish they had personalized cupboard space for each person in the room.

Best experience ever in Rio

This is the best hostel I've been in. The vibe is amazing, they really care for the guests, and plan activities so everyone shares time together. The breakfast is amazing. The location is very good, in the heart of Santa Teresa with restaurants and many things to to around, but also easily reaching the center, beaches and other parts of the city with Uber. The rooms are ok, and I saw cleaning staff every day. If I come back to Rio, I will definitely stay here again (and I have already recommended it to my friends and family)

Nothing! I would suggest sharing the link of the WhatsApp group as soon as people book through booking, as it's where the opportunities are shared (e.g. I would have loved to go to the match Flamingo vs Palmeiras, but when I joined it, it was too late!)

Amazing

The property was in a good location with all the facilities great and clean. The area around the hostel is the best we have stayed at giving a very authentic Brazilian experience unlike Ipanema and Copacabana. The staff were friendly and very welcoming to everyone with them helping whenever possible if any problem arose. We thank Castelo for the great hospitality and experience with making our Rio trip 10/10.

I received a warm welcome and was impressed by the castle's beauty! Every room is very clean, and my bed has curtains, a fan, and a nice lamp. There are plenty of leisure options, including a large pool, an incredible breakfast, and a barbecue on Sundays. I highly recommend this stay, as it's very close to downtown and offers easy access to Rio de Janeiro's beautiful beaches

Rooms were clean and well organized. Hostel itself was beautiful, there was a view on Christ the Redeemer. Breathtaking place. Delicious breakfast with occasional visits of local monkeys.

The staff always very helpful, whenever I had issues or questions on things to do in Rio or how the breakfast works etc always at my disposal. Also the facilities lots of rooms to relax as well as very nice outdoor area where you can chill on the benches and chairs around the pool or table.

Incredible experience!

I loved staying here - it is unreal how beautiful it is and i literally can't wait for the day i'll stay at this beautiful place again! Everyone is so friendly and the building is like from a movie! It was nice and quiet and everyone there was so lovely. Nothing can really sum up how amazing it was staying there after a lot of other places in rio! Café da manhã excelente. Lennon nos recebeu com muita cordialidade, mostrou-nos todas as instalações e estava sempre disponível para recomendar restaurantes, festas, etc. Ele preparou um churrasco delicioso para nós no domingo! Muito obrigada, Lennon!!

O que mais gostei foi a área da piscina que é lindíssima. O castelo também é super organizado e limpo. A cama que fiquei (beliche de baixo) tinha um espelho maravilhoso e uma luminária perfeita pra se maquiar sem precisar sair da cama 😍

Pagamento somente via pix ou em espécie. Cheguei as 17 hs e minha cama não estava pronta, sendo que o horário de check-in informado no booking é 14 hs. Aos domingos sempre oferecem churrasco para os hóspedes e na minha estadia não teve. Falaram que era por causa do.clima chuvoso, mas nem choveu nem teve churrasco.

Castello della sporcizia. Sono scappato senza poter dormire.

Posto sudicio. Siamo arrivati alle 15:30 e, sebbene il check in fosse alle 14, nella stanza c'era ancora l'ospite precedente. La stanza è stata consegnata alle 16:15 ma nonostante ci avessero detto che erano state fatte le pulizie, abbiamo trovato le lenzuola sporche di macchie che sembravano fluidi seminali, peli e altri tessuti. Anche le pareti erano sporche di macchie gialle. Siamo andati via alla ricerca di un altro alloggio perdendo tempo prezioso per la nostra ultima notte a Rio. Terribile.
