Great hotel in a fantastic location

Good breakfast and great with a swimming pool in the rooftop, what a view! Nice bedrooms and friendly staff.

The AC sounded a lot and the TV Chanels were all in Portuguese (except for the news). They should have Netflix and international channels.

Everything was good except the soundproofing

We liked the location , it was close to the beach Flamengo, It took only 7-10 min to go there, about 2 km till center and only 2 min till metro on foot; excellent breakfast and good bed.

The soundproofing between rooms was bad and our neighbour was very noisy

Location was excellent, staff very courteous and professional. Anytime we made a request with the front desk, it was answered promptly, always keeping the customer's satisfaction in mind.

Super breakfast, very safe and helpful staff. Room and bed were comfortable. staff allowed us to use swimming pool after the checkout. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed.

We felt safe. relaxed even though we were having difficulty with communication…hehehe

Breakfast very good! Staff very pleasant! On the eve of March 7 though, there was brown-out that lasted for about 50-55 minutes! No one/nothing was done to inform us of what happened! I asked one of the staff members the following day and no one seemed to be aware of what happened the night before. Guests should not be kept in the dark; otherwise, our experience with this hotel was a very pleasant one!😀

They should provide a skid -proof mat. Bathroom floor was so slippery so I used a towel for safety measures!

Disappointing

breakfast buffet and friendly staff

1) the hotel does not have the infrastructure for a well organized breakfast buffet. There was a huge line and they have to put people together at the same table. 2) I haven’t slept well during the 4 nights I was there due to excessive noise. The walls are like made of paper and you can literally hear everything what is happening in the adjacent rooms (and on the hall way). Never seen this before….They staff was friendly and made it possible to change rooms the second night but the issue wasn’t solved. The entire building is like this. 3) The rooftop pool is dirty and overcrowded.

The room was great for the price, and breakfast was amazing. Staff were very friendly and also booked us a taxi to the airport.

The staff only communicated in Portuguese, with no attempt to try any other languages.

Spent 4 nights at the Scorial hotel. Surroundings did not look so safe at first but at the end it seemed fine. There is a market on the square next to the hotel and many restaurant possibilities. Short driving time to most places of interest.
