Cosy vibe, beautiful views

The view! Amazing and so peaceful up there. A basic but cosy hotel with good breakfast to start the day. It is up a bit of a hill as others mention but if you want to escape the heavy tourist spots, this is a great option and good value for money.

OMG, dat view!!1! 🤩

The main selling point of this place is of course the breathtaking view over Rio… and boy does it deliver in that regard 🤩 – but besides that we were also happy with all other aspects of our stay. Our room was basic but comfortable, and the breakfast was better than we expected 👌 – all in all, would happily return if we're ever back in Rio!

Do not recommend at all

Nothing except the location

The property is really dirty and has not seen a renovation since a while, everything is broken, the kitchen is dirty, the bathroom too and the sheets were dirty. The staff did not do any effort to speak English or Spanish and would be quite rude with us. Everybody is high and over thirty really weird vibe

The 5-star view from the balcony, helpful staff and experience staying in a favela.

Location is a bit far, hard to get Uber, you have to walk to the main street or try over many times to look for Uber to detect your location. You have to walk up the slope, which is quite tough especially when you are carrying a big backpack.

Beautiful view but far from everything

Beautiful view, comfortable bed, spacious room, french speaking staff, breakfast ok

Too far from everything. It's good to stay one or 2 nights max. The swimming pool is a small bath that didnt seem very clean so i didnt use it. It is not very accessible by car so you probably have to carry your luggage along the way up (he offered to help though), i was lucky enough to convince my uber driver to go to the top. It's not a very social place. I didnt meet anyone there.

Will definitely come back

It feels like casa indeed! Super friendly, cozy, sweet and warm people who were willing to help with everythig needed. The view is absolutely stunning and the place is peaceful. The neighborhood feels much safer than others in RJ.

You should take in consideration that it's not very centric. But for me the silence and beautiful view were worth it.

I would definitely come back

The view was amazing, breakfast was so good, the owners of the hostel were so frendly and helpful in all matters. I felt like I was home.

Hostel placed in the borders of a favela, the steps to get to the apartment were steep (especially coming with your luggage it might be a problem) but it worths to everyhting when you see the view. The bed linens were not clean, they were even stinking and there were dusts everywhere in the room :(

Best thing of course the view, amazing. then the staff, rooftop pool, one (but very good) local restaurant not too far, nice room, chilled atmosphere

the views are amazing

the path up to the hostel, I was dropped off at night with no instruction from the hostel that it was off road. it was dark and I was left walking up and down the road with my luggage trying to find the property for 20minutes (google maps wasn’t precise). the walk up to the hostel isn’t well lit and people hanging around I was nervous alone. but once I got to the hostel the stay was lovely. I would just inform guests of the access to hostel properly before they arrive

Great place to stay

That's a lovely place. The view from guest house is just amazing. You can watch here the best sunrise in the world and in the evening order a great Caipirinha. Really friendly and helpful staff. In the near are local bars and pizzeria with tasty food. We totally recommend to stay here!

Passable

The only good thing about this place was the view. The breakfast is not so bad, but a bit limited. We were put in one of the best rooms in the small hotel.

No air conditioning, no fans, the heat was serious as it was summer (Feb 2020). The price per night was way too high for what we got. I have stayed in much better hotels in much more developed countries for far less than this. Way too expensive, just because of the carnival season

Casa 48 to miejsce wyjątkowe! Ma świetny widok na Rio, jest czysto i funkcjonalnie. To również doskonała obsługa - bardzo dziękuję Felixowi za pomoc w zakupie biletów na mecz Flamengo, wskazówki oraz opowieść o powstaniu tego miejsca. Czułem się tam wyjątkowo i z pewnością będę chciał wrócić!

Jedyna wada to trudność w dostaniu się na miejsce wieczorem. Niektórzy kierowcy Ubera boją się podjechać w okolice faveli - myślę, że to uprzedzenie, bo na miejscu czułem się bardzo bezpiecznie. Nie polecam tego miejsca ludziom, którzy nie są w stanie wyjść z pewnej perspektywy, mającym uprzedzenia oraz wymagającym luksusowych warunków.

Nagyon ajánlom, nekem nagyon bevált.

A hely csodálatos, nagyszerű minden nap erre a látványra ébredni és elaludni. Busszal és metróval minden nagyon gyorsan elérhető, de az Uber és a taxi is remekül működik. A személyzet nagyon kedves és segítőkész. Az ár-érték arány verhetetlen.

Minden amit ide írhatnék, eltörpül az mellett, hogy milyen jól éreztem magam. Füldugóval érdemes készülni, mert esténként nagyobb a zaj.

Amateurs de luxe passez votre chemin ! Tout y est , mais très simple , pas de clim par exemple ( chez nous du moins ) . Pour nous ,c'était vraiment suffisant .

Le manque de propreté dans les chambres Le bruit La vue est top mais on est hyper dépendant d un transport en commun 1 seul des trois est acceuillant , Valentin est désagréable dit pas bonjour pas de sourire peu de conversation , la fille te laisse te débrouiller le matin comme si on était chez nous , ça donne pas du tout une ambiance agréable .. plusieurs commentaires l avaient décrit on a pas fait attention c est l auberge espagnole de brique et de broc .. c est un style et une façon de vivre que nous n avons pas aimé
