Beautiful traditional Balinese guest house

Traditional Balinese family compound complex. Insanely well maintained grounds Quiet, peaceful. May not be perfect but absolutely not a thing to complain about. Large space including balcony outdoor living space.

Minor maintenance issues. Second entryway door has rot, one bedroom sconce did not work sink light did not work I thought it included breakfast. I was there for 7 days and was never offered. . The staircase to room was narrow and steep. I could not imagine a getting a full size suit case up or down easily

Enjoyable and hood location

The best is the staff who are super friendly and very helpful. Also I liked the pillows and the fact that the room at night can be fully dark as well as location

In a great location with many awesome cafes, restaurants and funky shops. Also it was nice and quiet in terms of location.

My guesthouse was lovely but just way too dark at all hours of the day with not enough natural light coming through unfortunately. In addition, my room could have done with being cleaned more regularly. Other than that I had an enjoyable stay. 😊

Loved aura bisma. Great location in Ubud

We loved our stay in aura bisma. It’s on a side street off the main road. Walking distance to markets, food, night shows/fire dances, laundry 2 doors down, massage parlours, you name it. I loved the open plan bungalows all grouped in the garden. Well kept rooms. We went in the pool and it was lovely.

The bathrooms are very outdated. The little bathroom floods because the water pressure doesn’t quite get the water in the bathtub from the wall. But everything else is gorgeous so easy to overlook.

A lovely wee hidden gem, great find

Location was great, near enough to everything but far enough away from the madness of the traffic and noise. Staff were very accommodating if you asked for anything but we're very respectful of your privacy too. Beds were very comfortable and clean, bathroom was clean and had great shower, lovely warm water, even had a big corner bath if you would have liked a bath. Lovely outside patio to sit on with table and chairs and a sofa, nice to sit in the evening after dinner (as long as you have lots of mosquito repellent on).

The pool was quite small if you like to swim though very clean and big enough to cool off in. Only room for 2 sun beds, however there were not too many people used when we were there, so was fine.

Beautiful gardens, nice pool to cool off in, good location to walk around city centre, good size terrace to sit under when raining, fresh water bottles every morning.

We booked 2 double rooms at the back of the property and they gave us a twin room which was at the front of the property and extremely noisy - they did refund us for that night though, and moved us the next day, lady at reception was nice about it. Very loud music most nights from a bar across the road until 11pm. They don't clean the rooms or even ask if we want it to be cleaned - had to specifically ask for new towels/mugs/coffee/tissue/rubbish removal. Duvet was just the inner, no cover - not hygienic. Room was grimy around the fridge and cutlery area, bathroom was damp, smelly, dingy and loud as there's a restaurant right next door where you can hear people talking all day (one rooms bathroom was better than the other with this). The stone pathways and stairs get very slippery when it rains, dangerously so for my elderly mother. Booked a sunrise jeep tour for pick up at 3.30am - the front door of the property was completely jammed, and we couldn't open it from the inside. Took about 30min until we could get out, with our driver there to help from the outside (so be mindful of this if you're doing the same).

Great hotel in a great location

Hotel is in a great location, near restaurants and shops. Great decor. Mosquito net is great. The swimming pool is a good size for a family. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great for the value.

It can be a little noisy at night but bearable. Bed is a bit too soft for my taste.

Lovely garden and pretty rooms. Comfortable and very near the heart of Ubud and great restaurants.

The place is rough around the edges but good value. Beware of dishonest transactions at the hotel boutique. Bathroom spa features are only decorative and not functional. No breakfast but water provided daily.

Get what you pay for

Location was great, property looked really nice from the outside, pool looked nice, lots of seating outside the room. Staff were very nice and dealt with any questions and requests promptly.

The pillowcase was stained but we didn’t complain as there were multiple pillows to choose from. The roof in our bathroom area was falling through and looked black and moulded. The lights in the bathroom would flicker and was quite irritating while showering, we did speak to the staff about this and they said they had an electrician in to del with the issue however it didn’t get sorted while we were there. Property is definitely you get what you pay for, a budget hotel/property.

A real hidden gem in Ubud Center

This guesthouse is a real gem in Ubud; quiet, comfortable, gentle staff. Water in the shower is hot and pressure is good, and wifi works pretty well in case remote work needs to be performed. Facilities are beautiful and it feels like sleeping in a temple. Location is super central but still it is not noisy. Coffee, tea and one bottle of water per day are provided. I did extent my stay twice and I would have extended more if I had more time. Definitely recommended!

Jalan Bisma is a busy but quiet street with access to many food places to suit different budgets. AUra Bisma felt like a little oasis and we met some other lovely guests.

Great location. Close to lots of good stuff. Great value. The apartment was amazing with massive front terrace facing onto private garden. Idyllic. New bottled water every day. Staff lovely. It's like a private oasis and I would give it 11 out of 10 but for the comments below. Otherwise we would happily stay there forever. Lift your game Wayan and give the units a complete scrub down. Receptionist February was lovely. Very helpful.ì

Hygiene is woeful. There was a smell of sewage sometimes at night. The separate kitchen looked great until we opened the cupboards. Filthy doesn't begin to describe it. The bathroom seemed ok but the wall tiles haven't been wiped in many years. Gross. Very little hot water. The bath leaked onto the floor. The pool water was clear but had enough chlorine to burn the eyes off a sacred monkey at 50paces. Towels were standard Bali grey. In spite of all this I'd go back faster than a Gojek scooter on a shortcut. Wayan.. Spend some money on cleaning. Don't be so miserable.

A wonderful place in the middle of town. Very friendly staff. Majestic architecture that makes you feel at home in Ubud. Great value for the price. Watmly recommend! The staff kindly accommodated a somewhat later departure towards the airport.

Good location

The location of the property is fab! Near the centre but out of the way so no noise. The staff on check-in were very friendly! The bed was comfortable. The balcony was huge and a nice place to sit. However, the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay (we did get bottled water each day left on the balcony), the duvet was tiny and didn’t have a sheet on. There were lots of bugs in the room and it didn’t feel the most clean from when we arrived. The shower was freezing with no hot water and very bad pressure :(

The guesthouse is so nice in a Balinese style, comes with a pool, it’s just what I need! Also the location is just right! Staff were also very nice and helpful!

Necesita una limpieza a fondo, la cocina con telarañas, en el baño un agujero por el que entraban las hormigas la tela de los mosquitos en alfunas zonas de color amarillo, y la comunicación con el personal es bastante compleja, pues prácticamente no hablan ingles, no esperes lo que en otras Guesthouse de ayuda y recomendaciones, esto.. Lo eché mucho de menos, aunque es un sitio que merece la pena por los edificios y entorno en si

Vacaciones en Ubud

Está a un paso del centro de Ubud, con acceso rápido a las principales atracciones, restaurantes y tiendas para comprar lo que necesites. Aun así, es un lugar muy tranquilo, con el encanto auténtico de una casa familiar balinesa. El personal es muy amable y siempre atento, especialmente el equipo online. Y la piscina, después de un día de paseos, se siente como un pequeño y merecido lujo.

La limpieza podría mejorar; en nuestro caso, solo se realizó cuando la solicitamos y estuvimos aprox. 9 días.

Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Diese kleine süße Unterkunft liegt in einer Seitenstraße der Hauptstraße und ist daher ruhig, aber zentral. Die Anlage ist sehr schön gemacht, auch wenn wir sie kaum genutzt haben, da wir nur eine Nacht dort geblieben sind und unterwegs waren. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Zimmer sauber.

Das Zimmer hat jetzt nicht die beste Ausstattung und das Bad ist etwas alt, aber bei dem Preis und der Sauberkeit absolut in Ordnung!

La ubicación y el superprecio,además te dejaban cada dia una botella de agua por persona,es acogedor y típico Balines y el poderte bañar por la noche en la piscina,pequeña pero suficiente

Que cogia olor a humedad,sobre todo de las toallas que no nos las cambiaron.. ,deberían haber mosquiteras en la ventana para poder ventilar sin que se meta tanto mosquito

Uma estadia agridoce - mas acredito que o Aura Bisma valha a pena!

O local onde acabamos por ficar, era enorme e boa qualidade-preço, o AC funcionava bem. A localização tanto deste como do Aura bisma, na mesma rua, é fantástica pois estamos a 2 passos da rua principal mas sem a confusão e mantendo todas as comodidades (supermercado, spas, restaurantes, lojas, etc). A equipa foi também prestável ao aceitar deixarmos uma mala de porão no alojamento enquanto explorámos o resto da ilha nos 10 dias seguintes.

Não chegámos a ficar no Aura Bisma - havia um casamento e após sermos informados com cerca de 1 mês de antecedência aceitamos permanecer, pensamos que seria uma experiência gira. Mal sabia que no dia de chegada, íamos ser levados para outro alojamento, um complexo de apartamentos modernizados, na mesma rua, mas que claramente não estava preparado para receber hospedes: cozinha (que optamos por deixar trancada) muito muito suja, poucas toalhas, algumas delas manchadas (mas lavadas), sem wi-fi ou pelo menos se havia não tínhamos acesso pois não tínhamos essa informação em local algum. Correu tudo bem, mas de facto preferia ter ficado noutro local pois escolhemos o Aura bisma pela sua atmosfera e pelo facto de ser um alojamento típico - com os seus jardins, esculturas, fontes... uma experiência que acabámos por não usufruir.

Lokalizacja, wygląd obiektu z zewnątrz (klimat typowo balijski). Dobra komunikacja przez WhatsApp z siostrą właściciela. Kompensacja za brak cieplej wody w postaci zwrotu ceny za jedną dobę.

Brak cieplej wody do wzięcia kąpieli - zarówno prysznic jak i wanna, która jest reklamowana jako dodatek do pokoju. Cały domek do renowacji. Według mnie nikt nie powinien tam spać już do czasu remontu generalnego ze względu na pleśń i grzyba na praktycznie każdej ścianie, okropnie brudne poduszki po ściągnięciu poszewki - były wilgotne przez większość pobytu. Cała łazienka choć ciekawie zrobiona to nie nadaje się również do użytkowania właśnie przez brak cieplej wody, dziury w ścianach po zalaniach oraz pleśni. Ściana w łazience posiada otwory z małymi okienkami, przez które przelatują owady oraz wchodzi pełno mrówek. Podłoga w łazience w kamyczkach mogłaby raz na jakiś czas zostać odkurzona. Obsługa praktycznie nie mówi po angielsku, jednakże napisałem przez WhatsApp i tam już się bezproblemowo dogadałem. Oferowano nam inny pokój lecz problem z wodą również tam występował. W pokoju problem z gniazdkami - telewizor stoi tam dla ozdoby (choć nie planowaliśmy go użyć to nie wiem gdzie ktoś go miał sobie podłączyć). Łóżko średnio wygodne - codziennie bolały mnie plecy a na dole łóżka wrażenie jakby się zapadało (prawdopodobnie zużyte sprężyny). Baldachim brudny i śmierdzący, odklejal się co chwilę od konstrukcji (był na rzepy, których już brakowało). Sam pokój nie był w ogóle sprzątany, jedynie uzupełniano wodę poprzez przyniesienie jej na taras oraz brano stamtąd śmieci. W środku dwa śmietniki przez cały wyjazd nie zostały opróżnione + obsługa nie sprawdzała np. stanu papieru toaletowego. Przed oddaniem domku wypadałoby zetrzeć kurze chociaż w widocznych miejscach. Lodówka z pleśnią i plamami na górze. Na terenie obiektu prowadzona była budowa jakiejś ceremonialnej konstrukcji? Odbywało się to od około 8 rano i pomiędzy czteroma domkami siedziało 20 budowlańców którzy hałasowali od samego rana i budzili nas swoimi krzykami i śmiechami. Zawsze ciężko pisze się takie opinie ale wolelibyśmy takie coś przeczytać przed wynajmem. Na zdjęciach myślę że widać o co mi chodzi.

Mega entäuschend...hatte zuerst ein Zimmer vorne, voller Mini-Ameisen (auch im Bett!), dreckiger Bettwäsche und lauter Boiler-Anlage direkt vorm Fenster, die immer angeht, wenn jemand duscht - auch in der Nacht! - dann durfte ich Zimmer wechseln. Auch hier, Ameisen (zum Glück "nur" im Bad), eine undichte Badewanne und dieselben wirklich penetrant stinkenden Handtücher. Auch organisatorisch ein Reinfall, die Mitarbeiter wussten nichts von meiner Ankunft, obwohl ich am Tag davor noch über eine frühere Ankunftszeit mit denen geschrieben habe. Das einzig positive war nur die Lage und das Moskitonetz über dem Bett...

Incantevole giardino

Posizione perfetta, personale accogliente, giardino e struttura molto belli, con arredamento accattivante sia all'esterno sia all'interno. C'e' un po' di umidità ma questa e' una caratteristica di Ubud. Per la sua bellezza questa Guesthouse meriterebbe qualche ritocco. La piscina e' piccola ma ben tenuta.

Peccato, appunto, per qualche piccolo danno causato dall'umidità ...ma sicuramente, quando arriverete voi all'Aura Bisma, sara' stato già riparato... Il letto era un po' morbido per i miei gusti...

Ottimo!

Guesthouse situata a pochi metri dal centro di Ubud, ci si arriva facilmente a piedi in pochi minuti. Nei dintorni ci sono diverse comodità: market, money change, farmacia, locali per bere e mangiare, ecc. Di notte si riposa bene, è una zona silenziosa. Proprietari adorabili, gentilissimi e pronti a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta. La struttura è molto bella e pulita! Presente l’aria condizionata e acqua in bottiglia fornita ogni mattina. È una guesthouse, non un hotel a 5 stelle, e nonostante ció è stato davvero un piacevole soggiorno! Siamo stati davvero bene
