Alam Pangkung Ubud

Ubud’s huge variety of great cafe’s, restaurants, local warungs, galleries, museums and markets, and the surrounding rice field walks are all within a few minutes walk of this homestay. The main entrance is right on the main street, but the rooms are tucked away from the noise at the back of the building and have a view of a steep hill covered in dense jungle and a small river that separates the jungle slope from the homestay. Only four Rooms are available: Room 01 and Room 04 are slightly larger, with a double bed and a balcony. Room 02 and Room 03 are smaller, with twin single beds and no balcony. All rooms are on the ground floor. The basement area which was previously used as a spa, has now been decommissioned. Room 01 and Room 04 also have a TV screen which you can connect to your YouTube account via the in-house wifi. Note that they do not have satellite reception but the wifi is good. All rooms are cleaned and maintained regularly by your friendly host Ms Agung Manik, who lives upstairs with her husband Made Didik, and children, and is always contactable 24/7 via WhatsApp, and very happy to help if we need anything. The air-conditioning in all the rooms is very good and cold if you want it, also the hot water shower is great and seems to last a long time. It was always hot while we were using it. This homestay is perfect for travellers who want to explore the area on foot and don’t want to be stuck in traffic, or to be captive guests at a villa miles away in the rice fields. We greatly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Alam Pangkung Homestay, and will definitely stay here again next time we are in Bali.
