Very friendly and nice but the WiFi was really bad

If you need WiFi for work then better don’t book this place. It’s not their fault and tried to help as much as they could but the signal is very low in the area, hence the WiFi is bad

The atmosphere is really nice, the stuff is friendly and will do everything to make your stay comfortable

lovely staff, comfortable beds. spacious rooms. loved the big bathtub. breakfast omelet was good

no wifi! cut in and out , and sometimes not existent at all... impossible for working remotely, or video call. was a bit of a walk outside the city center and grab bikes won't drop off at door

sevices were all very nice and available when we needed them friendly and helpfull all the time

We had no idea that the location was so hard to get to the info is a bit wanting. Rolling suitcases along a broken concrete path, avoiding mopets is a bit daunting when it`s as far as this was, the staff helped us when we checked out.

Tucked away in a quiet residential area, amidst rice paddies.

Very friendly and helpful staff made our stay comfortable. Only 8 rooms in total, so a peaceful environment. Tradional balinese architecture, with huge beds, made for a unique stay.

My room was situated above the family's quarters. As such, it was a bit noisy with children coming and going and a baby crying during the night. However, no traffic noise, in a quiet residential area. The property is located at the very end of a series of laneways off Bisma Street, so expect a long walk with luggage on arrival. However, on departing, our hostess carried my case downstairs and loaded it on her scooter to take up to Bisma St to meet our airport taxi, which was fantastic.

A wonderful quiet hideaway in the middle of Ubud’s hustle and bustle, with staff who truly go above and beyond.

Ala’s Green Lagoon is a true little gem in the heart of Ubud. It’s peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing, yet still close to the buzz of the city. The host and the staff were extremely kind and helpful, and really doing everything to make their Guests feel comfortable. Laundry service is available on request, and scooters can be rented directly at the property, which is super convenient. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the pool was just perfect to unwind after a day in town. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and there was even a mosquito net, which made the stay extra pleasant. The location is a bit tucked away, but very easy to find with Google Maps (walking mode) and signposts along the way.

Honestly, I can’t think of anything negative to say.

Great place at a great price

Very traditional property in a fantastic location! Basic yes, however that’s all you need. Nice swimming pool with a mini fountain and a few sun loungers, a great undercover area where they served breakfast and hosts that are so welcoming and knowledgable of the area!

Very quiet. All day tea / coffee access at the table area . Good breakfast and bathroom with a bath tub .

The map is showing a wrong location. I found the place by signage on the lanes . If a rainy night time arrive , the place is not so good as no car access.

Authentic homestay

Authentic homestay away from the loud main streets. Approach by scooter (not car). The couple working there is extremely nice, even more like the proper hosts. Delicious breakfast, spacious and clean rooms, swimming pool also very clean!

We stayed there for Nyepi but unfortunately we couldn’t really appreciate the authentic experience since the owners&the kids were quite loud during the silent day.

Unique, quiet, affordable, with large rooms, air-con, pool, breakfast and wonderful helpful staff

Amazing unique property! Uniquely traditional design, comfortable and quiet. Lovely to have such tasty and filling options for breakfast each morning. They also hire out nice scooters for 120,000 (about 12 AUD or NZD) for the day. Lovely refreshing deep pool! So close to the main streets, attractions and restaurants but tucked away from the hustle and bustle- so quiet and peaceful besides the rice paddy listening to the frogs and geckos.

Expect and ENJOY the quirks of this unique property. Access is on foot from Jalan Bisma, down Sunset Lane so take a bag with wheels. Watch out for bumps and dips as you walk, these are all over the footpaths at the moment. Take a torch to help with navigating in the dark.

Super friendly staff, rented good new motorbike right at property. Pool is clean. Located far from the road so no bike noise (just nature sounds)

Noise from the fridge, wooden door to the toilet is sooo loud that will 100% wake your partner, when using it at night. Sleep wasn’t good. Shower water usable but very weak. Property photos are not relevant bacause new building blocks rice terrace view

Unbelievably charming beautiful place actually in the middle of rice fields and banana trees, yet 8 minutes walking from the center. Friendly staff. This is the truest Bali mystique in action. Recommend it!

A narrow path between rice fields lead to the group of buildings where this guesthouses is located. You must walk 5 minutes by foot, cars can't come any closer. The path is so rough, it risks breaking the wheels off your suitcases. At night you also need a flashlight. No TV, no safe, no water heater, no fridge available in the rooms (but all that are available at the reception).

Very nice big clean room with a beautiful bathroom and a private terrace. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good 🙂 location awesome... totally remote but in 5 minutes you are in the middle of everything...

Bring a torch for the way back at night cause it's very hidden and you need to walk some narrow and unlit ways

amazing place to stay while in Ubud. very close to the city, yet quiet and peaceful location. the host is very welcoming and friendly. amazing value for money. there is a daily breakfast and daily cleaning included in the room rate, which I didn’t see in other homestays. there is also a nice pool. the room is spacious, clean, with a/c and many closets.

the homestay is not easily accessible by car or motorbike. you will need to walk with your bags for about 5 minutes to reach the place

Best accomodation to explore Ubud

We really loved the place! It was central in Ubud but still quite as covered in rice fields. We loved to jump into the pool after a day of exploring and the room was really nice. Breakfast was also great, we could rent a scooter without problems and the staff was always so nice, we felt really welcomed there and would totally recommend!

Amazing place to stay in Ubud. Fab location - walking distance to everything yet still peaceful and quiet. beautiful pool and gorgeous surrounding rice fields. Great choice of breakfast with a fruit salad every morning. Great hosts - even gave us a boxed breakfast when leaving early. 10/10

L’emplacement est idéal! À l’écart du bruit mais à proximité du cœur d’Ubud. Le personnel est très arrangeant et agréable.

Petite fuite dans mon frigo, qui a été évacué le lendemain matin de mon arrivée. Mais cela n’a rien enlevé à mon séjour.
