Provides all the basics for a very affordable price.

Very good value, everything worked (that I used) and it was very clean. Location was great, very near station. Not much noise. Windows that opened.

I had trouble getting the key out of the door once I'd unlocked - it took me a while to realise the key had to be in the horizontal not the vertical position. It might be useful to include this in the instructions. Shower flow is weak (though the water was hot). But given the low price that's fair enough.

The property was good the service and support has been very poor - Don't get caught out!

£150 damage bond was paid in advance of arrival at the property, as requested by the property management through Booking.com messaging. It is in their terms and conditions to PREPAY this bond. There was absolutely no damage caused by us (two older women), and I therefore expected a full refund of the prepaid £150 bond. I have already tried raising this matter through the Booking.com messaging system directly with the property, where the staff confirmed that the bond would not be charged AGAIN if no damage was found. However, since the payment was taken in ADVANCE, this shouldn't happen! The staff don't seem to know their own policies and processes. In the Booking.com system, the property has acknowledged the receipt of my payment, £150 was paid in advance. I have noticed they seem to have recently removed the message history. Luckily, I have screenshots of all the conversations. I have tried contacting them multiple times, and still no refund. I normally would not give negative feedback but I don't want anyone else to go through this.

Would be great with a new mattress and access to the WiFi

Good location, quick walk from the station and easy walk into town. High ceilings and well equipped kitchen. Once the heating was on, it was warm and cosy.

The heating controls weren’t working, there is no way to contact the host so when the link for the wifi didn’t work, I had to go without - why would you not print it on a piece of paper in the room?? I came to the conclusion that the bed had been slept in previously by an elephant.

Apartment was in a converted bank, modern and space saving decor, on site parking and a great central location

Not a lot, poor communication re check in. Before we could access the property had to pay an extra deposit to stay and go re damage which we were not advised of on the Booking.com website. We had to do this upon arrival at the property awaiting Stay and Go bank details to gain access. Shower broken Did not like all the stairs leading to a second floor apartment. Only one exit route down these stairs. Would never stay here again

Nice stay

Great location - 2 minutes from the train station. We were staying for Bearded Theory Festival and travelling by train so it was ideal. Also very near the Lidl, lots of shops and food places. Apartment was well kitted out, kitchen has good facilities with a washing machine as well. Bathroom was great. Bed was comfortable. The apartment was spacious and well decorated.

The WiFi was terrible, it meant the Roku TV channels were pretty much unusable which isn't acceptable. We were on the 1st floor and had to go up some external stairs in the car park which hadn't been mentioned on booking.com. They felt a bit perilous, especially when wet! This needs to be mentioned as I think elderly folk or those with mobility issues would really struggle. It was hard for me to get the £150 deposit back, despite leaving the place clean and tidy. A week later I had to hassle them for it which was quite frustrating as it's a decent sum of money.

Great sized apartment, nice modern. Easy check-in, great for my one-night stay. Shops like Lidl very close by which was perfect. If I had to, would be happy to stay again.

Be careful of a change of key code without being informed!

The security code to obtain the key to the apartment was changed without our knowledge. I'm trying to see if they'll refund me. It eventually cost me £230 for a hotel stay! NO ONE ensured we had the new number, and there was no answer on neither phone nor email. Atrocious behaviour. Took a 5 hour drive to get there.

I didn't like the fact that no one was available for advice!! Terrible thing to do. What if I was a young lady who'd been dropped off by taxi? Completely alone in a place never been before. Unacceptable, dangerous behaviour.

Stay somewhere else!

More like student digs!! For the money they want for these ‘apartments’ stay somewhere else! Shower in flat 5 didn’t work as it was scolding hot so we had to go to my mums downstairs and use theirs. Massive inconvenience when we were at a wedding and 5 adults are trying to shower!! Maintenance came out and only fixed the shower fitting. Damage to the apartment. Just not up to standard at all. Host was not helpful at all once I got in touch on the day of checking out, and actually I got a lot of attitude. Not professional at all.

Good apartment spoilt by cheap beds and no wi-fi

Location was good, modern functional kitchen and bathroom.

Beds were uncomfortable, mattress too thin and soft. Wi-Fi did not work anywhere in the ground floor apartment, staff were not helpful in correcting this and I had to solve the issue at my own cost.

l emailed , messaged and used WhatsApp prior to our stay, asking for a ground floor apartment.. no answer from owner. The day before arrival the access details sent via WhatsApp by Lourdes .. Flat 8... 2nd floor . We arrived at 8pm, the car spaces very narrow so parked in space 12. Access to apartment was via outside 34 narrow fire escape staircase. Large orange bins stored underneath stairs.. If there is a fire and you in staying in flat 8 there is no route out. No fire extinguisher or fire blanket in apartment. Information was via a laminate single sheet. Used WhatsApp to notify car parking number and stains on the floor ...received no reply. Other problems there is no blind or cover at front door so woke at 2am from outside stair light and then at dawn. Inside small t.v. set too high up on wall so neck ache. 2nd WhatsApp message sent no reply. Kitchen well equipped however saucepan and frying pan well worn and should be replaced. Electric heated airer had wires exposed WhatsApp to company.. reply was to put heating on to dry clothes and maintenance would be informed. The double bed is 2 singles put together. One has alot of springs exposed so not comfy. No long mirror anywhere in apartment. Bathroom fine..could benefit from a shelf and a towel hook.... shower leaks ..(reported) good hot water. When stripping beds blood stains on duvet.The last straw was the u bend on kitchen sink leaked and flooded kitchen area and part of our luggage. Worst stay l have had with no support from the management company.

A Pleasant Apartment Conveniently Located Close To The Train Station.

A pleasant, roomy apartment with good facilities. Well equipped kitchen.

Our room was situated on the top floor, and was only accessible via the fire escape round the back of the building. Please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues as it could be a real problem. I personally struggled with this issue.

Two day stay in Burton

overall to the room was nice, had excellent facilities for cooking, washing, cleaning. Very good for an extended stay. Staff were really helpful, always responded quickly and effectively over WhatsApp.

The one thing I would say is that the mattresses were uncomfortable and uneven. This was a shame as all the other facilities were excellent and the room is very good value.

Poor shower, did not maintain temperature so it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. WIFI unreliable. I was asked to provide a damage deposit which was subsequently waived when I pointed out that it was not in the policy or confirmation email.
