A very spacious, comfortable place to stay within easy walking distance of the harbour. Really lovely and quiet, even though the wharf is busy during the day, and there were a lot of roadworks going on below during our stay. Our host was very responsive and helpful; the check-in photos really helped with finding the cottage to start with. They also left a pint of milk and biscuits to go with the complimentary tea and coffee. Plenty of towels, and very reliable hot water and heating, which we appreciated given how windy and cold it turned in the week!
The lane outside the gate is in rough shape and difficult to navigate even with a small car, and walking access to nearby pubs proved somewhat challenging for family with moderately limited mobility. There is a herring gull who comes to knock on the front window, presumably to demand chips. He sometimes brings a friend. They will sit on your rental vehicle and stare at you while you do the washing up. It is either cute or terrifying, depending how you feel about gulls. We did not honour their relentless requests for snacks.

Spotlessly clean, loads of extras left in the house such as dishwasher and washing machine tabs, fresh flowers and biscuits on the table on arrival. Lots of towels and even shower gel in the bathroom. Hosts communication was excellent and they were extremely kind and helpful when we mixed up our check out date, letting us stay another night last minute (phew!). Fab size for our family of four, private car parking (very tight but doable in a medium family car). Penzance a great base for exploring the south end of Cornwall. We went out every day to explore. We had a wonderful holiday.
A little bit of noise from the pubs as the odd person walked home at night (we heard this 3 nights out of 7) but only in the main bedroom which was at the front of the house. The children's rooms at the back were quiet.

Really beautiful place to stay. Walking distance to penzance and jubilee pool. Lovely cosy house. We stayed there mid December.
The bedrooms were lovely and warm but I couldn't get the downstairs heat to boost.
