Once part of a grand 19th-century grammar school, this characterful property has been lovingly restored and transformed into two bright, spacious apartments. This is the first floor apartment (3 bed 2 bathroom) You’ll find the perfect balance of historic charm and modern comfort, with original features carefully preserved to give the space a unique sense of character.



The apartment is filled with natural light and offers generous living areas—ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the Cornish coast. Whether you're here for coastal walks, local food, or simply a peaceful getaway, Penare Court provides a calm and comfortable base.

The Neighborhood:

Penare Road and the surrounding Penare Gardens area are known for their attractive period buildings, leafy setting and elevated position above Penzance. This part of town feels peaceful and residential while still being just a short walk from the seafront, harbour, shops and restaurants, making it one of the most convenient and desirable locations to stay in Penzance.



The neighbourhood is characterised by elegant Victorian architecture, historic terraces and former school buildings full of character, giving the area a unique heritage feel. Guests can enjoy quiet streets and glimpses across Mount’s Bay, while still being close to everything the town has to offer.



One of the biggest advantages of staying here is the location for exploring West Cornwall. Penare Court is well placed for easy access to the promenade, Jubilee Pool, Newlyn, Mousehole and the coast road toward Land’s End and St Ives. Penzance train station and ferry links to the Isles of Scilly are also nearby, making it an excellent base for both relaxing coastal breaks and day trips around Cornwall.



The area has a calm, local atmosphere that guests often appreciate — close enough to walk into town for dinner or drinks, yet tucked away from the busiest tourist spots.



Getting Around:

Getting around Penare Court is easy. Penzance train station is a short walk away, (although mostly up a gradual incline) . For those arriving by car, free on-street parking is readily available. The apartment's central location also provides convenient access to local bus routes, making exploring the surrounding areas simple. The journey to Land's End Airport is approximately a 15-minute drive. Penzance town is 5-10 minutes walk away.
