Clean, spacious house for family of 4 with a nice little courtyard.

Lovely well laid out home. Photos don't do it justice. Great location near the high street and train/bus station.

Google maps takes you to the back entrance to the house which isn't accessible, but that's not the fault of the host. We just had a bit of a longer walk with our suitcases when we arrived.

We had a great weekend in Cornwall and this place was the perfect base for visiting places

The location was great - 5min walk into town. The house was very clean and decorated to a high standard. The rooms were comfortable for a family of 5. There was a small yard with a table and 2 chairs which was really nice for breakfast. The bathroom was clean and the shower was really refreshing. Close to local town centre shops but also 2 large supermarkets close by. The host was very responsive and amenable.

We had a car so as you couldn't park directly outside the house. We had to hunt for a car parking space in neighbouring streets every time we returned from a journey. The streets were tight and always full but we managed to find a space every time. although it was a few mins walk back to the house.

We enjoyed our time at Spaven Mor and are looking forward to staying there again.

We travelled from Kent and stayed at Spaven Mor for a 3 night mini break, the main purpose being to surprise my sister who lives locally in Penzance for her 40th Birthday. We had no issues with check in and found the property to be immaculately clean throughout, very well presented and had a lovely homely feel to it. The house was equipped with everything we needed for our stay and as a bonus had a great Wi-Fi connection. The location was perfect for our needs...Not only a short walk to visit my family, it is also a short walk to multiple shops, pubs, restaurants, the harbor and beaches. Once we arrived, we didn't need to use the car once during our stay as everything we needed was on our doorstep. There is no on street parking outside of the property, however this did not cause us any problems at all and we were aware of this prior to booking. You are able to pull up outside of the property to load and unload your car and we easily found free parking on one of the neighboring roads, under a minutes walk away.

Good place to stay

The house was really clean, comfortable and relaxing. Mattress in the double rooms were perfect, including bedding stuff were comfortable for summer. Maybe need extra duvets/blankets for cooler weather. Location was great, close to shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Glad there was a vacuum cleaner, and iron and board. Felt like a home away from home. With wifi and tv to keep children busy in the evenings.

Had to buy our own cleaning sponge for kitchen, but understandable as its probably not there due to covid rules. We brought our laundery detergent, as there were not any, we ran out of toilet tissues, (family of 5) and kitchen towels so we had to buy extra. Which was fine. But in other places we have stayed, there were extra provided in cupboards etc. Think the house needs extra floor towels for bathroom, as it keep getting wet from the bath and basin water. Especially with little kids, who kept splashing everywhere. We were very conscious of trying not to cause any unwanted damages. So towelsfor floor would have helped that situation. Despite the negative which can be fixed, the house was perfect for our stay.

Superb

Small warm and cosy cottage, nice little yard at the back with seating and washing line. Handy location for shops, restaurants and pubs, close to the start of a beach walk, but set in a quiet street. Fully equipped kitchen, with lots of space to put food away. Bedrooms had nice storage. Good large bathroom, again lots of handy storage (maybe add a towel rail?). Really liked the furniture choices, very pleasing both to use and look at. Would come again.

We had a love/hate relationship with aspects of the decor, mostly very nice and sophisticated but the words made out of rope glued onto wood, we thought a bit unnecessary... This is literally the only negative point I can think of!

Okay - but expected a bit more for the price I paid

Clean house to stay in close to the main shopping area. Beds were comfortable.

Parking was an issue. There was no ample car parking in the local area, the long stay carpark had to be used and paid for. The shower was of no use to me as it was too short and the boiler had to be reset several times (the landlord did try to fix this the second day but it didnt work).

The little touches around the house which made it feel very homely. Great location for proximity to town and station. Very nicely decorated, lovely bedding and soft towels too!

Parking. Not the hosts fault but parking can be tricky close to the house. Plenty of parking 5 mins walk away though.

Superb

Lovely spacious home and fab host. Stacey couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating, checked in with us to make sure all was ok but not at all intrusive.. The house was super clean with lovely fresh linen and plenty of towels. Kitchen has everything you need to feel at home, big fridge, washing machine and plenty of pans. The courtyard is a great additional chill space too. Had a truly fab holiday, could say so much more positive!

Only minor thing would be for big or tall people, the shower was a little low.

The rooms are clean, big and comfortable. We also get some board games to have some fun. In a word the room and landlady are nice.

The shower is a little low for adults. We have to bend when taking shower. It is the only shortage that we experienced during the staying.
