An amazing stay in Orvieto with a great host

Everything was perfect for us. We really appreciated that the host, Mirko, was so helpful before our arrival to Orvieto, giving us details on how to get there and where to park. Even more unexpectedly positive, Mirko waited for us outside the apartment to hand us over the keys and show us around the apartment. After that, he sent us details for several restaurants in the area. The apartment is great. There’s two en suite rooms, both very comfortable, and a nice living room and kitchen.

Can’t think of anything. We were very happy.

A fabulous apartment in Orvieto!

This was the best property we stayed at on our two week trip to Italy! It was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The location was fabulous and it was only a one minute (or less) walk to the Duomo. Our host was fabulous and provided breakfast items, coffee, water, and drinks for us. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was quiet. I really can’t imagine a better place to stay in Orvieto for the price! Highly recommend!

Spacious, clean and convenient

Amazing location and easily the most spacious accommodations we had in our journey all over Italy! A great jumping off point to explore charming Orvieto. We only stayed one night but wish we could have planned our trip to stay here longer!!

An amazing peaceful place in the very center

This is one of our favorite places to stay of all times. It is just lovely! A lot of freshly renovated space, two bathrooms (!), fully equipped kitchen with plenty complimentary additions from the host, air conditioning, wifi. There is a shower in the one bathroom and a bathtub in another one. The apartment is located on the ground floor facing small silent garden (shared for the house). It is located in the very center of Orvieto, the Duomo is just behind the corner, however it is silent because of the closed garden outside. While we were there, the funicular didn't work. Anyway, you can get to the place from the train station by two buses (one from the train station to the top of the hill, the second one goes directly to Duomo square), the connection is smooth, and the way is short.

The only thing to keep in mind would be a poor sound isolation. It was no problem for us, but for some companies it can be good to know, that some walls are not perfectly soundproof.

Lovely spot in a gorgeous town!

We were delighted to stay in this lovely space for one night. The location is fabulous - steps from the Duomo (major sight in town), restaurants featuring the local specialty - truffles, fantastic shopping and a car park. The space is generous and it would have been easy to stay there for a week. The kitchen, dining and living room are well appointed. The bedrooms are lovely - each with their own en suite - a bonus for us since we were two families traveling together. The beds were comfortable. And the space was immaculately clean. Linens, towels, soaps, etc. all provided and fresh. Even the closets smelled fresh! And the air conditioning worked brilliantly - a gift on warm summer days! The hosts were lovely. They met us and showed us everything on our arrival, left snacks and water for us to enjoy. We were concerned about a place to have dinner and they offered several recommendations. Then they booked one on our behalf- truly amazing hospitality! Book this place. You will enjoy a lovely respite in a wonderful town.

No cons. Note there are a few steps to enter the property but they are wide and deep - so easy to handle luggage.

Perfect place in perfect location, charming reception

Beautiful apartment right in the centre of Orvieto's old town. Very kind and pleasant contact with the owner, we were picked up personally close to the apartment. Communication, location, cleanliness of the rooms, everything was great. Nothing missing, all there, including coffee and other nice little amenities.

This apartment is very close to all the "must see" places in Orvieto yet manages to be out of the way and quiet. It is a large, really nice apartment with a big living room and comfortable bedrooms.

Perfect location, stunning scenery and an outstanding host

Fantastic attention to detail. The owners obviously care very much about giving their guests the best experience. A warm welcome, stylish, great location and lots of extra touches made this an extra special stay. Great communication by Mirko. We sadly only had one night in the apartment but would definitely seek to book this again for another visit.

We loved our stay in Casa Dolce Casa, a fabulous apartment in the heart of Orvieto

Mirko warmly welcomed us upon arrival and showed us around his beautiful, spacious apartment. The facilities were first class and the goodies provided including pastries, cold bottles of water and milk were much appreciated. The property’s location close to the Duomo and many other attractions was a bonus.

The apartment was centrally located right near the Duomo and really well equipped. Our beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. Mirko communicated with us brilliantly and gave us excellent directions and tips for eating in the town. He very generously provided milk, tea and coffee, milk, cakes and toiletries. Loved this place and would highly recommend!

Amazing place

Great apartment with a beautiful interior. Loved having 2 large bathrooms and a large kitchen and living room area. The coffee bar was awesome!! The location was very central to good restaurants, shopping & sights. I wish we would have stayed longer here. The host was very accommodating and kind. He left us snacks, which was so nice. The kitchen was fully equipped to cook a meal. I hope we get to return someday to stay here.

The beds were a bit soft for our liking but everything else was perfect.

The location is perfect and the apartment is stunning. The hosts have obviously thought about anything they can do to make your stay a delight. The kitchen is fully equipped, the wifi is excellent, the beds are very comfortable. A one minute walk puts you in the heart of Orvieto, but no noise in the unit to be a bother. No reason to stay elsewhere. It is lovely.

Lovely hosts - beautiful accommodation!! Would come back in a flash!

The pictures do not do this fantastic accommodation justice. So well catered and so many thoughtful gestures from the hosts. The home smells and looks amazing from the minute you walk in. So clean, beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are well provisioned, such lovely amenities in the kitchen. If I could give this 20/10 I would!!

Casa Dolce Casa is truly home sweet home in Orvieto!

Mirko and Michela were amazing hosts. They clearly communicated with us via What's App as to where we should meet. We chose to taxi from the train station for 15 euros because we thought it would be easier with our luggage, and later we rode the funicular to meet our daughter. Mirko and Michela met us exactly where the driver dropped us. The property has 3 doors for entry. The first is the iconic Italian iron gate which leads into a beautiful courtyard. Next is the door to the lobby and then the apartment door. We felt very safe. The apartment itself is perfect. Incredibly clean and comfortable, with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. We slept very well after the brick bed we had in Rome. There are 4 windows that open onto that beautiful courtyard, so nice in the spring. They left us plenty of snacks and drinks which we appreciated after our travels. The location of the property is central to it all. The duomo is literally several feet away. We enjoyed walking the streets of this medieval town with its jaw dropping views at all hours of the day. The view from the tower is not to be missed. We were the only ones up there. There is a leather shop around the corner where you can watch them make their goods (my daughter who lives in Florence bought a bag from here and my husband a wallet). There is also a woman who weaves beautiful scarves with a handloom. I purchased a scarf from her and have worn it almost everyday in Tuscany. We tried several of the restaurants which Mirko suggested, all were fantastic. It's amazing what they can do with rabbit and pork, I will dream of it for a lifetime. This is definitely a town that needs several days to appreciate. We saw the day tour groups pass through and felt very fortunate to have our little casa dolce casa! Grazie Mille Mirko and Michela!

Excellent communication, they provided excellent care of us, and clearly take very good care of this charming and spotlessly clean apartment. Easiest Wi-Fi connection ever. Nice bedding, little snacks and water on arrival. Thoughtful management everywhere. Quiet but right off the main pedestrian street. Just everything from pre-arrival communication, to a nice text after check out. We were party of 3 and all of the same opinion on every aspect of this super clean and comfortable 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment. Everything was above expectations!

The location was great, the place is fantastic, it smells amazing.

Upon arrival it was raining and I had an automobile. It is not easy to find your way around in a car, easy on foot, if you're not familiar in the town. I had to park somewhere and make it to the condo on foot. The host are waiting, very welcoming, super helpful, and then drove me around a path I would have never found to get my mom in the car. Then we followed them all the way around another way which I wouldn't have figured out easily to a parking area by the main Cathedral that was very close. The location was great, the place is fantastic, it smells amazing.

The flat is spacious and very well located in the old city. Mirko welcomed us and helped to find good parking for our car. The 2 bathrooms, with the two bedrooms were great.

The location of this accommodation is right in the middle of the town, a minute walk from Duomo. It was very clean and comfortable inside, with good facilities. The owner couple was very kind, picking us up from the station, and quick to answer any questions we had during our stay.

Muy grande, limpia, espaciosa, luminosa. Queda en el centro de la ciudad lo cual es excelente para moverte a pie. La atención fue espectacular, Mirko estuvo muy predispuesto a ayudarnos con cualquier cosa. Estamos muy contentos y agradecidos.
