Door code allowed entry to main lobby of several apartments, key left in my apartment door. However door lock was defective and very stiff such that I nearly locked myself out of property and was unable to lock door from inside. Left a note indicating this issue on departure. Although parking was supposed to be available the two cars parked obstructed access for any additional vehicles although there might have been room for up to four if parking spaces were marked. Fortunately we were able to park on the street. ROKU TV did not offer a freeview facility the assumption being that residents would log on with their own iplayer, netflix or other packages - not everyone keeps their id and log on details handy on their travels and I would have expected to be able to switch on the TV and watch the News without any added complexity. Some simple instruction on adjusting heating would have been helpful as the weather was a little colder than one would expect for the time of the year, I needed to download an instruction manual to find out how to boost the room temperature. Don't get me wrong - this was an excellent clean and functional apartment but all of these issues could be easily remedied and if so it would merit a five star review.

Kirkcudbright is a brilliant place to visit and the apartment was superb - recently renovated to a very high standard. James, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful. I hope to be back next year!

There was a slight problem with the internet connection but James sorted it as soon as I let him know.

Apartments have been beautifully renovated and still having work done. The owner is doing a great job. The apartments are minutes walk from everything you could need. Extremely quite at night and felt like a very safe area.

Issue with apartment door not locking so had to move apartments Sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and hard. Sheets didnt stay on as it was leather type material. Bedding had a bad musty smell. Owner insisted they were freshly washed ?? Couldn’t open sofa bed, when owner arrived she also struggled with it and had to get someone else to do it. Worth checking on arrival as could be an issue if arriving back late at night. Toilets are lovely although shower floor was slippy when wet and although the toilets were immaculate there was a damp smell. No instructions on how to control the heating system. Highlighted this on previous stay and was still no details available when I returned. Although the apartments are very quiet bear in mind the road can be a little noisy early morning and early evening
