It only had one toilet. Information says 1.5 bathrooms. So a little misleading unfortunately.

Comfortable bedrooms in Kirkcudbright

The location is great. Very close to Tesco and a short walk to the town and harbour. Parking is on the street but we al toways managed to park close to the propery.The property was clean with comfortable beds made up with clean white bedding. There are 2 spacious double bedrooms and a single room upstairs and a room with good sized bunk beds downstairs. Great fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and cooker. The stairs are quite steep but handrails are provided on both sides of the stairs, and on the extra few steps up to each double bedroom. There are also a few steps down onto the kitchen. The host has made the best of the lounge/dining room providing a table and chairs and a large sofa (a squash for 7 adults). If everyone in your group can cope with stairs, I would recommend this property. Our host also responded quickly to a question I had.

There are a number of small points that stop me giving an even better review. For example, the kitchen needs some additional cutlery and additional pans (there are 2 large pans and 1 small pan - good enough for a simple meal for 7 adults but nothing more). The bedside lighting in the 2nd double bedroom could be improved.

The location was ideal as we wanted to experience what it would be like to live in Kirkcudbright.

The cooking utensils were basic and a knife sharpener is a serious omission.

Big spacious house in a great location. Had everything you needed and was lovely and clean. Loved the fact you could bring pets.

Didn’t have an outside space for the dogs but I knew that when I booked. Good thing is there is a big park right across the road for them.

6 night relaxing stay

The House is really well placed close to all local amenities, it was so peaceful that I couldnt believe that it was even day time.

Was fine for 3 adults lounge not suitable for more

Location was excellent, small Tesco straight across road, excellent chippy few doors down, Chinese at bottom of the road. 2 minute walk to town centre. Spacious double bedrooms comfortable beds. 11am check out makes a big difference.. sat down at the marina watching all the goings on, very peaceful great beach just along the road towards borgue with lots of parking.

Lounge not big enough. Not enough seating. 3 adults squished onto one sofa, very uncomfortable bucket chair was the only other seat apart from dining chairs. Definitely not big enough for 7 people. I'd take the bunk beds out of the downstairs room and put dining table in there and put another 2 seater sofa or comfy armchairs in lounge.Toilet space tiny, seperate from shower which if your a size 10 can get in no trouble, if your slightly rounder be prepared to breathe in to open the door

Bit noisy at 6am at tesco..unfortunately..which woke us at the front of the house each day..shower didn't drain away quickly..sofas not the most comfortable..

1 night stay

Relaxed perfect for needs! Close to food, nice places around for walk, lunch and harbour. Parking right out the front door. Very clean, lots of nice touches ! Card, chocolates and wine for my mums birthday was a very kind touch.

Nothing I didn’t like place was excellent. Another toilet would have been icing on cake but booked in full knowledge and understanding there was only 1.

Ideale overnachting,beperkte bezetting!

Centraal gelegen,niet zo heel ver van onze bestemming. Ook vlakbij supermarkt,en enkele restaurantjes. In heel mooie streek. Alles aanwezig in huisje. Contact met huiseigenaar was oké.

Huisje is wat beperkt in ruimte. Meer dan 5-(6)volwassenen,is max. Hangt er ook af,of je in 1 groot bed met zijn tweeën of alleen wilt slapen. Er was 1 groot bed,met redelijk wat piepende resorts. Ook in dezelfde kamer,een stoel,die maar net in elkaar nog hangde,was dus opletten,gevaar voor breken. De douche-kraan zat wat vast. Gevolg: enorm warm water bij douche! Slechts ook 1 toilet. Bij redelijke bezetting,misschien nipt. De keuken,living-eetkamer was in orde,maar mocht iets groter geweest zijn.
