Beautiful House With Stunning Views Kirkcudbright - Pass the Keys

A really lovely house in a vibrant harbour village. The community were truly lovely and the supermarket was so close which made things easy. Each room had a design and ‘feel’ and the house was beautiful.

I’m not sure about the ‘stunning views’, although we did enjoy watching a few bowling games from the bedrooms. The harbour is only a short walk away though and St Mary’s Isle is a lovely local circular walk.

Great location, views are nice but not stunning. Bedrooms nicely fitted out and all very clean internally.

Courtyard garden was initially disappointment - unswept with cigarette ends and grotty table caked in bird droppings. Spent time cleaning it and found chairs to add to table so the space was usable. A little bit of tlc could make it such a great addition to the house.

The house itself is great, within easy reach of all the amenities you need for a short stay. Great living space, and kitchen. The bedrooms are well laid out and clean. The collection of books and games help fill any time you might have.

During our stay, we found several small issues that added up. The heating has a mind of it's own, and even in 23c heat, it's turning on even after we reset it. The single bathroom can be an issue with a full house, but the shower door coming off it rails was the biggest issue for us. There was a note to tell us that a replacement was on the way, but it never turned up during our week stay. We also found the flooring of the bathroom was not secure and on of the bedroom doors was half off it's hinges. While issues happen, these all showed signs of basic attempts at repair, rather than a full job. We had to leave the house for a half a day to allow the bedroom door, and shower door to be repaired - only to come back to the shower door with an additional note saying "be careful" and the floor still loose. These are small issues that shouldn't put you off the house, but it does put us off using "Pass the keys" ever again. If you do have a car to bring, the neighbor also likes to claim the spot in front of the house as her own and will move their car close enough to the other residents to stop you using the spot.
