Apartment was nice, spacious and comfortable

WiFi signal wasn't very good I didn't realise how many stairs there would be but that was my fault it did say top floor

The apartment is well-located and modern with good facilities. Natural light is a bonus and the rooms are decent sizes, including the kitchen and the shower room. The host, James, was very prompt to respond when I contacted home due to a lack of key - we had apartment C (ground floor) instead of G (top floor) as another guest had taken our booked apartment. Quiet overall and an easy walk into Kirkcudbright to attractions etc. The washing machine is a useful addition. The apartment is clean and well-designed. Eating at the Scran Van is recommended. The town has many great things to offer. Recommend Broughton House, the Peploe exhibition and Threave Estate walks (a bit further afield).

A few little things would make it better, such as nicer pillows. We found them lumpy and uncomfortable. A clothes airer would be helpful for drying clothes as well as an ironing board (there is an iron). Also, a couple of dishwasher tablets would be useful as there is a dishwasher.

Its location

comfortable main bed (for two), clean, adequate kitchen

not big enough for 2 adults and 2 children, sofa bed not comfortable/small, noisy on the sofa bed due to motor running intermittently through the night in the kitchen. low/inclined ceilings as attic room, several of us knocked against them several times
