On the main square, but a basic room, not well maintained. No staff on site, no public areas.

The location and views over the Grand Place.

The room was small and basic. Bedside light was broken, fan in bathroom didn't work. Air con was set at 25 degrees and would not be adjusted. Two coffee pods for 2 people for 2 nights is not enough. No reception or public areas, so all check in had to be done remotely, which I hope was secure. No staff on site to tell the noisy party that happened in the next rooms all of Friday night to be quiet.

Central location. A clean modern en suite room.

On limit looks like a proper traditional hotel but in fact there is no staff except the cleaning team. So you endure tedious on line check in and door entry code procedures The coffee pod machine didn’t work. The pillows were hard.

Ideal location, although the room was dark.

Ideal location at the Grande Place. Room was spacious and well decorated. Wonderfully silent. Perfect water pressure in the shower Small fridge with plenty of space; it would have allowed to organise supplies to have breakfast in the room if only some extra dishes & cutlery were available (only 2 coffee cups, spoons and glasses).

Very little natural light: the window opened to a narrow inner court with the fire staircase - no views of the city whatsoever. The bathroom has steps to access it and also within it (different levels within the shower, the sink & mirror area, and the toilet area) and the shower was a bit dark (no lighting pointing to it, this could be easily improved). The hotel has no reception area or staff at all - access to the rooms is through a narrow staircase (no lift for guests)

Perfect location and space!

Location couldn’t be better! We also had two bedrooms and a living room for our family of four.

It wasn’t an issue for us but it would be hard for people with mobility issues due to stairs.

Visiting Mons

The room was spacious and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was quite big and clean. The room is in the most central spot of Mons and still is quiet. The access is very easy.

Great location - very central. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Very quiet. Nice views of square. Easy in and out access. Friendly staff for check-in who showed us to our room - excellent service.

Be mindful that the accomodation is on the main square (small doorway) past tables and chairs owned by a restaurant. Check in is via restaurant reception (the accomodation is up a flight of stairs next to the restaurant). We took a while to find it so use booking.com directions rather than google. It's not an issue - just a little tricky to find. It is labled above the door - so maybe it was just us looking for a large reception area!

Amazing! 10/10 would stay here without a doubt again.

Can’t say enough about how good this was! From the second we step in the door until the second we left the staff was amazing. Food was amazing… breakfast (yes it’s $15) but you will see it’s worth the money!! It had everything. Rooms we so clean, and loved to decor.

Stairs with our luggage… but I only had To carry one down when we left so can’t really complain, as the staff did the rest.

People from the hotel (reception/staff) were very friendly; no bridge too far. Our room was very cozy with a stylish design, better combination of both practical and esthetical. A place to return to!

Nuit agréable , endroit à recommander

Réservation facile avec un excellent suivis . La chambre etait parfaite . Les différents coins ( salon, chambre, sdb.) sont vraiment bien disposés et aménagés.

Un bruit de claquement était un peu gênant durant toute la nuit … je pense que cela venait de la climatisation.

La télévision était cassé. Sachant que c’était une des raisons de ma réservation. Il y avait pas mal de poussière dans la chambre, ce qui a été un vrai calvaire durant la nuit.

Best oké met veel haken en ogen.

Redelijke kamer met fijne stoelen.

Geen lift. Te klein bed. Geen king size. Dekbedhoes met kapotte knoopjes en kussen ook. Je stoot je hoofd aan een kant van het bed als je naar de wc wilt. Hotel gaat NIET op slot beneden zowel overdag als in de avond. Totaal idioot. Vanochtend om half tien was er een dakloze dronkaard!

Zeer aangename kamer in historisch pand. Met koffie en thee (gratis), en een goed gevulde ijskast (tegen betaling) Mons is een aangename stad, met weinig verkeer en mooie muurschilderingen, en een topmuseum. Om nog te zwijgen van het geweldige station.

De aanblik van sommige straten met veel leegstaande handelspanden verraadt dat Mons net als andere steden het socio-economisch moeilijk heeft. Maar dit mag je niet tegenhouden om de stad te bezoeken.

De airco viel ‘s nachts uit. Gezien geen personeel, geen receptie niets kunnen vragen. ‘S ochtends wakker worden in 23 graden. Centraal gelegen maar luide kermis op het marktplein.

Het inchecken is vreselijk Meer dan 2 u mee bezig geweest Mail met Link om in te checken om je persoonlijke gegevens door te geven , removed ( = werkte niet ) Telefonisch contact ( na veel keuzes te moeten maken , enkel mogelijk in het Engels Spaans of Frans ) Indien vraag in het Nederlands kan je enkel mailen Maar doen niet wat beloofd . - we moesten waarborg via Mastercard of Visa geven … Na 7 keer (!!) alle gegevens door te geven , steeds bericht SMS dat het niet ok was We moesten 250€ Storten op een rek nummer voor ze ons een code wilden geven … DEDEN WE NIET. Het was ondertussen 16u30 ! Via personeelslid van restaurant naast hotel die voor ons 1:2 u telefoneerde , dan toch een Code verkregen . Bleek dat eigenaar hotel in Madagascar zit en dat er NOOIT iemand van eigenaars hotel aanwezig zijn of te bereiken zijn. Dankzij restaurant personeel dat zeer vriendelijk was kunnen inchecken

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Mons.

Locatie was super, dichter in het centrum kun je niet logeren. Ondanks ligging aan de Grand Place opvallend rustige kamer. Heel gezellige stad. Leuke cafés, goede restaurants en terecht culturele hoofdstad in 2015.
