Quite nice hotel but the restaurant was closed for dinner and food at the bar was pretty bad. The gym was closed for renovation which was not mentioned on beforehand.

We stayed here while trying to depart from Mons after 18 months of working at SHAPE. Due to the COVID-19 situation, things were much different from what we expected and we understand. However, when we first arrived in our room, it was not as clean as we would have liked - there was mold on the shower tile grout, fingerprints all over the entry door, a dead fly stuck to the living room curtain, and grease around the stove top. The kitchen faucet was so loose that we had to hold it with two hands just to change from hot to cold water. Nevertheless, we had Lysol and Clorox cleaner to get rid of the bothersome items we noted. The service from staff was excellent and they tried very hard to accommodate our needs, especially for breakfast since we were so used to having a world of choices at a previous stay - again, the situation precluded much choice of breakfast items. The bed was super comfortable, which was a plus since we stayed 8 days, trying to get a flight out.

Having an apartment was great. It wasn’t much more expensive than a normal room and it meant we could cook a small meal when we arrived.

Proximity to SHAPE, and walking distance to restaurants. Cleanliness was really lacking, and I am a typical “whatever “ kind of guy as long as the sheets are clean. They were, but not much else was. Also don’t let the A/C make you think you can really cool your room. The lowest setting allowed is 22

Overall I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The staff wasn’t friendly. The overall decor was very very odd. The room, even for European standards, was cramped and uncomfortable. The paint was peeling off the walls. My door to the adjoining room didn’t lock and the hotel staff refused to change my room. Most things in my room, like hair dryer didn’t work. The furniture was way too big for the space. About the only redeeming qualities are the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The surrounding are wasn’t great either. The cherry on top of this stay- my bill was Wong and the front desk staff refused to correct it and even tried to make me pay for the whole stay event though I paid through hotels.com. It was a total cluster and got quite heated. I thought it was resolved and got my bill and he added extra taxes I had already paid for and breakfast I didn’t eat. At that point I was running too late to argue since it had taken 30 mins to check out. The trip was for work so we didn’t have much choice in hotels but I would avoid this one if you can.

The hotel is easy to find, with ample parking space, and is clean and well-maintained throughout. Otherwise it was perfectly comfortable and agreeable. Surprisingly there is no air conditioning, and I imagine the rooms may get hot in summer, even with the fan provided, as the window only opens a little and there is no through draught. The room was a little cramped, with nowhere to open a clam-style suitcase out flat except the floor. The room safe was too small for a wide screen laptop. The €15 charge for breakfast seems excessive, and probably explains why the breakfast room was so empty. The wifi was excellent.

Perfect location if you have business on Shape which was the purpose of our visit. Check in went smooth, there was only 1 receptionist but she went through everybody pretty quickly. Did not explain anything about the hotel. Room was warm as there is no AC only a fan. Pretty small but had everything you needed. I like the soap / shampoo dispensers. Did not have breakfast there but they charge 15 Euro. Check out was very fast and receptionist was very nice. Free parking is a huge plus.

We have used this hotel on previous visits to the Mons area, as it is well situated out of town whilst remaing close to travel in by car or public transport. We found the hotel very pleasant with improved facilities in the rooms since our last visit some while ago. The staff were excellent and very accomodating and the breakfast was superb.
