have stayed here lots of times and it suits us for our annual weekend stay in Maubeuge .

the only problem was the shower hose had a bad leak which we told the reception staff when we left.

Needs some attention to the infrastructure, but overall the experience was pretty good

Room was spotless, clearly looked after by the staff. Great to have a kettle in the room too! Staff at reception were professional and friendly. The breakfast was extensive and various

The external stairwell up to the room was exceptionally dirty and grubby. Moss and detritus on the stairs and upper exposed flooring was an eyesore and a risk for slips or falls. Woodwork was rapidly heading towards rotten. The care in the rooms did not extend to the exterior areas

we booked on Booking, the money was cashed despite the fact that we indicated late arrival, - the phone does not work - we contacted Booking who contacted this establishment who informed us if we do not arrive before 10:00 p.m. they will cancel the reservation; I don't think a hotel should plan my trip and ask me to be there for a certain hour!!!! I do not recommend this establishment and I think that Booking should also remove this hotel because it is a disaster!

Rooms are comfortable, there is a lot of parking, breakfast is very good. There is a very good All-You-Can-Eat restaurant at walking distance.

It is a quite a hike from the station and I struggled to find the hotel, when I phoned for help, the receptionist spoke no English and my French was too poor to get her to comprehend. On arrival she failed to show me where the rooms were, which was not straightforward at all.

We have stayed here a good few times in the past and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Plenty to eat at breakfast. Room cleaned every day. Tea/coffee facilities in room. Free parking. We asked for a room on the first floor when we booked and they honoured that.

No evening meals Friday, Saturday or Sunday. This hotel used to offer evening meals every evening bar Sunday in the past.

Very good and calming

Everything was alright for the price you pay. There are better rooms ofcourse but If you spent the weekend here it's very good. It was clean and they made the bed when you're gone. People were also friendly.

There were only 2 things what bothered me. One was that there was no toilet brush so you couldn't clean the toilet which is kinda disgusting. And the other was that the neighbours were yelling and you could hear that very good.

Great locale, definitely low budget.

Perfect location for Fete Nationale. Easy bike path, parking, and on-site breakfast.

Room was not "non-smoking" definitely had heavy smell of smoke. Bed was very firm, and it was impossible to get a breeze and was very warm...glad we brought our ventilator from home.

Basic - Beware of payment system

It was ok overall, very 1970’s motel vibe. Very basic and all well used. Private parking good.

Hard to find, Sat nav took us elsewhere. Very basic throughout. BEWARE - hotel puts a charge on your credit card before you arrive. It then also takes your normal payment. This full charge has still not been repaid/taken off hold and it has been 2 weeks now. Very unclear up front how this works and Booking.com seems ok with this despite my complaint.

These hotels were always good back in the day but this one badly needs freshening up.

The staff are friendly. Facilities in the rooms are good - towels, coffee/tea making etc.

The hotel is tired and needs a good refurb. The rooms are quite dark and dreary and the steps leading to the upper rooms are falling apart. The evening meals available are very limited, with just two or three choices and no vegetarian option. Breakfast is expensive for what is offered. Not much choice and not very exciting.

No relief after a long drive.

1. The menu in the restaurant was ridiculously restricted, providing canteen food at restaurant prices. Nowhere else in sight. The small town, perhaps 10 minutes' walk away, (seen the next morning) looked as if there was little or no alternative. 2. Access to upper room only via an inconvenient external staircase (like a fire escape). 3. Carpark insecure.

Un séjour très agréable, avec un personnel attentionné et une chambre impeccable.

La chambre était confortable et surtout très propre, tout comme la salle de bain. Les serviettes étaient remplacées chaque jour, ce qui est très appréciable. Si nous souhaitions que la chambre soit nettoyée quotidiennement, il suffisait de le demander, ce qui est un vrai plus. Le personnel, que ce soit à l’accueil, au petit déjeuner ou pour l’entretien des chambres, a été particulièrement sympathique et attentionné. Chaque personne rencontrée s’est montrée à l’écoute, disponible et bienveillante. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour son accueil chaleureux.

Concernant les points d’amélioration, peut-être qu’un léger rafraîchissement des balcons pourrait être envisagé, le temps ayant fait son œuvre. Ce n’est qu’un détail, mais cela apporterait une touche supplémentaire à l’ensemble. Un parking surveillé serait également un plus en termes de sérénité, même si cela n’a en rien gâché notre séjour. Dans l’ensemble, nous avons passé un très bon moment.

Très bon séjour au Campanile de Maubeuge !

Excellent accueil pendant tout le séjour de la part des équipes sur place, très bonne literie, une mention spéciale pour la propreté,bravo au personnel d'entretien. Emplacement idéal. Très bon rapport qualité/prix, lié sans doute à l'établissement vieillissant, mais vraiment très bon séjour.
