The letting room(s) are spacious, comfy and offer everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were helpful throughout. The traditional cooked breakfast was excellent.
There was fruit juice before the cooked breakfast but no buffet style cereals or pastries etc. The cooked breakfast was excellent.

Such a cosy and lovely little property! As Lake District first-timers, we didn't realise quite how far out in the sticks we'd be, but it turned out to be a blessing. After a long, wet drive, the warm welcome made us ditch our plans to eat elsewhere and stay in. So glad we did unlike typical overpriced gastro pubs with tiny portions that we were used to, the food here was clearly cooked fresh, generous, and great value for money. The team was amazingly friendly, and we couldn't fault a thing

Location was stunning
The double bed needs to have a topper on it as we found it too soft. The wi fi was very bad but to be expected as it is in the middle of a national park
