La padrona di casa è stata meravigliosa! Amichevole, chiara nelle spiegazioni, non aveva fretta, ha risposto a tutte le domande ed era preparata anche per aspetti a cui nessuno avrebbe pensato in anticipo. Era a disposizione 24 ore su 24 e rispondeva con grande gentilezza e gioia — non quella finta, ma quella che nasce da una persona davvero gentile nell’animo.
La casa era splendida, spaziosa, esteticamente bellissima, con pavimenti in legno, tutto nuovo all’interno, vista sul canale (finestrella)… ed era fornita di tutto in grande quantità: capsule di caffè, carta da cucina, carta igienica, e molto altro. Cosa dire di più? Solo un grande e caloroso grazie per la meravigliosa ospitalità!
Sicuramente la sceglieremo di nuovo quando torneremo a Bologna.

First and foremost, Bologna is a very interesting city: medieval buildings, charming streets, alleys, and squares, and no mass tourism. There are countless places to eat, nice shops, and places like Modena (with its beautiful Duomo, charming city center, Ferrari Museum, and Maserati factory) and Imola (with the world-famous circuit) are nearby.
And then there is Lucio Dalla... (but only fans of Italian music will know what I mean)
For all of this, the apartment is beautifully situated (right between the station and Piazza Maggiore), within walking distance of so many great places to eat. The apartment is also very clean (except for minor details), very spacious, and well-equipped. With nice extra's like extra towels, shower gel, coffee and tasty candies! We felt really at ease there.
But, the star of the stay is the hostess, Camilla: very communicative, friendly, helpful, thoughtful, you name it... 9,5!
The location of the apartment is a plus, but also a minus. There is sometimes, at times, quite a lot of noise at night.
The mattress on the double bed was super (firm, which we definitely like), but those on the 2 single beds were (as far as we are concerned) too soft. Everything was very clean (make no mistake!), except for a few details: some dust behind a small movable table in the hallway (visible because I had accidentally moved it) and between the radiators.

Plenty of space within the apartment and very walkable to everywhere (including train station and centre of town, restaurants, etc). Helpful host and easy/flexible check-in and check-out process.
It's worth noting that this location is very noisy at night. We stayed mid-week, but it was still extremely lively and loud throughout the evenings, well into the early hours of daybreak. Ear plugs recommended - we were relieved to not be travelling with children. They also use a lot of strong air-fresheners that were pretty overpowering upon arrival. I'd just recommend asking for these to be removed prior to check in :)
