Pignattari Apartments - Piazza Maggiore View, Bologna

Very nice place, very good communication with the owners, the location is at km 0 in Bologna, wich is a gorgeous historic city.

One of the bedrooms is quite small but it is in a cool historic building... so... ok!

Location was very good. The household items were comfortable.

The landlord or apartment manager was completely different and unhelpful. One of the criteria for choosing this apartment was that it had an elevator, as the word 'elevator' was listed among the apartment's features on the website. Yes, there was one elevator in the building, but to use it, we had to enter through a door leading to a common area that also contained the entrances to the buildings next door. This door to the common area might be sometimes locked. Therefore, I asked the assistant us for the key to that door, but I received a completely unexpected response from the manager: ‘it was an error, the elevator was listed among the available amenities on the website, but unfortunately there was no elevator in the building’, refused to give me the key, and the word 'elevator' from the features of the apartment on booking.com has been removed. Very strangely the assistant has also been saying that there wasn’t an elevator in that building. On the other hand, during our staying of 7 days we used the elevator and only 1 time the big door of the passageway leading to the apartment buildings from the street was locked, and after pressing one of the doorbells in the opposite building, the door has been gently opened. Only 2 times the door leading to the elevator of our apartment was locked and pressing one of the doorbells the door was again opened, and we could enter to the apartment and took the elevator. Other missing feature was the lack of a washing machine and dishwashing detergent. There was a dishwasher, but I couldn't get it to work.

The location was wonderful, it was apparent the property had been newly renovated, and the staff was nice.
