Accommodating staff and comfortable stay

They were so helpful when I arrived after midnight. The property is great and comfortable. It is just next to a huge market with vendors and food. It’s also easy to get colectivos from the road there. The other guests were nice and there are many activities offered. Some guests said they could see whales from the rooftop one morning

Quaint, quiet hostel

Quiet hostel. Large rooms. Comfy beds.

No hot showers. Weirdly no shower hook to hang your clothes or towel when taking a shower. Manager was in charge of the air con remote controller so meant we couldnt adjust the air con temp or strength throughout the night or put the air con on during the day.

I love it

The location is awesome, and it's easy to get there. The rooms are comfy, and the staff is amazing.

Sometimes the shower on the third floor stops working, and you have to wait about 20 minutes for the water to come back.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel! It’s a very calm and peaceful place, perfect for relaxing. The pool is beautiful and always clean, and there’s a rooftop with an amazing view. I also loved the terrace where you can read, work out, or simply enjoy the quiet atmosphere. The kitchen is spacious, well-equipped, and has everything you need for cooking. The location is super convenient – there’s an organic market nearby along with plenty of nice restaurants.

The hostel was quite new and clean, there is alot of potential for the hostel

There need to be more kitchen tools. Also to much volunteers that just chilling around and not doing much, like there was just one worker that was working there but he was not there the whole day so it was difficult sometimes if there was question or if you need something. The volunteer saying yes but not doing anything, so that was a little bit annoying, i mean they were nice but if you have 7 people volunteering and chilling the rooms or in the chilling area it doesnt look good

Very helpful and friendly staff. Good location. You can leave your baggage after check out (even use a pool or take a shower, which is perfect before the night bus). Breakfast was disappointing but overall OK.

Nice stay in Puerto Escobar

New dorms with a lot of space for all our staff. Curtain, board and sockets at your bed. Really nice area with a great pool. Air conditioning in the dorms, we slept really well. Kitchen was big and well equiptet.

The closest beach is empty but you can't go swimming there. The nice part of the long beach is La Punta, approximetly 20 min to walk. Stuff should say more to the people who leave kitchen not clean.

Great place to land on a budget.

The location is centrally located, Not far off main road for easy transportation. the kitchen facilities, and pool are well equipped and the people who run the property are very nice.

The fan in the room was broken and the AC was not turned on, they control this, so the room was very warm and stagnant overnight. They were kind enough to refund one night for me so I could relocate with no loss of money.

Excelente precio y ambiente, gente súper amable y un lugar muy acogedor. El lugar está cerca de clubes nocturnos así que fue muy conveniente para nosotros. También se llega caminando al mercado, lo cual es muy conveniente para comer o comprar algo. También amé que haya gatitos y cocina aunque no la hayamos usado esta vez

La playa para nadar más cercana se llega en taxi, pero por estar cerca del mercado y clubes valió la pena.

Tout était super, lhostel est super bien placé. Pas besoin de prendre de taxi. Il est calme et animé à la fois. On peut se reposer la journée et faire la fête fin de journée. Les volontaires sont géniaux. Surtout Alejandra et Valérie qui organisent les activités. Je recommande vraiment cet hostel

Regresaría sin dudarlo!

La ubicación es súper estratégica. Aunque la playa más cercana no es apta para nadar, te ofrece estar muy cerca del mercado de Zicatela, además de ciertas cafeterías y restaurantes a los que puedes llegar a pie. Ellos mismos te ofrecen información sobre tours, actividades nocturnas y oferta gastronómica a la hora de tu check-in, por lo que, en mi caso que era la primera vez que visitaba Puerto Escondido, fue de grandísima ayuda. ¡El personal súper amable! Y muy abiertos a atender cualquier incomodidad del huésped (claro, lo que esté en sus manos que puedan resolver)

Creo que esto sirve de experiencia para la próxima vez. Mi cama estaba frente al baño y regadera, por lo que, en una habitación compartida, si eres muy sensible al ruido o la luz, podría ser una incomodidad. Basta con que menciones tus preferencias al hostal antes de tu llegada y ver si pueden acomodarte con una mejor opción

Lindo, limpio y excelente ubicación!

Ha sido increíble quedarnos en SurfNest Tamarindo, una excelente ubicación, al lado del mercado y de la playa. La habitación muy bonita, espaciosa y súper limpia. El aire acondiciona funciona sólo por las noches pero no es un problema porque durante el día nos la pasamos afuera. Hay ua alberca muy linda qe ayuda a pasar el calor y café de cortesía. Todo el equipo de trabajo muy buena onda y atentos también, nos ayudaron a enviar nuestra ropa a la lavandería y a conseguir un taxi al aeropuerto.

Podría haber opción de desayuno y cambiaría el hecho de que haya que pagar por las toallas.

Un buen lugar para visitar

Esta en medio, entre la punta y zicatela lo cuál hace que puedas ir y venir caminando a ambos lugares, la alberca la tienen limpia todo el tiempo y es de buen tamaño, las habitaciones son cómodas y dónde yo le quedé tiene su propio baño. Tiene muchas áreas en común, aún falta explotarlas más. La vista desde la tardanza en muy bonita. Y el personal es atento. Además a la vuelta hay un comedor muy rico y barato 😁

Pienso que podrían colocar sartenes nuevos, procurar tener la barra más limpia.

Muy buen hostal con excelente ubicación!

Muy buen hostal con una excelente ubicación (a 2 cuadras de la playa), tiene una buena piscina y las instalaciones son nuevas con habitaciones grandes, camas muy cómodas y aire acondicionado. También cuanta con una terraza con una vista fantástica. El internet generalmente es muy bueno y rápido para aquellos que trabajan en linea. Saludos a Carlos el gerente quien fue muy atento en todo momento. Un agradecimiento especial al personal de limpieza y de mantenimiento (Irma y Lore) quienes siempre estaban al pendiente de la comodidad de los huéspedes (algunos voluntarios deberían tomarlos de ejemplo).

Creo que un aspecto muy importante a mejorar es la actitud de algunos de los voluntarios los cuales no se comprometían del todo con el trabajo como deberían, noté que cuando no estaban de turno se preocupaban poco ó nada por las necesidades del hostel ó los huéspedes (limpieza de areas comúnes, limpieza de cocina, cambio de garrafón de agua, etc.), La cocina podría mejorar en cuanto a la organización y los utencilios. El agua caliente se agradecería en los meses más fríos. Un area de co-working lo haría una gran opción para estancias largas.

Les toilettes et douches sont communes et partagés avec le personnel et toute personne qui est à la piscine ou dans le lobby Vous devez marcher dehors dans le jardin devant tout le monde après votre douche haha La chambre double est mal positionné, le soleil passe à travers la porte et vous réveille inévitablement Vraiment la chambre double n’est pas la meilleure option privilégiez les dortoirs :)
