Wonderful stay at One Love

I loved the bungalows which were all different colours and named after various musicians , each one had a small patio with a hammock, table and chairs , very near the beach and cafes , very helpful host , highly recommend !

Very chill vibe, beautiful place, super host (excellent and warm communication). Beautiful planting, a serene and cool environment. Bungalows were clean and relaxing. Cats were super lovely.

A place to make a coffee/hot water and cup source would have been a bonus.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay on La Punta. Nico’s a great host and the accommodation is lovely — simple, but comfortable. The rooms are clean and set in a quiet and lush private courtyard with a small pool. There’s no hot water (as all the other reviews will attest), but in the heat the showers are nice and refreshing. They’re not exactly cold either. Upon my arrival, Nico quickly marked a couple of good spots on my phone for coffee and food, as well as helped me to navigate using the colectivos to get into town.

A beautiful place to relax and unwind!

Nico was a truly brilliant host. Really made us feel welcome with recommendations and checking up on us via whatsapp to make sure we had everything we needed! The room was so unique, such a big space and even though there was no aircon, the fan was more than powerful enough! Absolute massive bed and it was super comfortable. The cats were another highlight. The no hot water really is not an issue at all, the water is heated up from the sun throughout the day so it’s not freezing cold anyway. The set up of the hostal is so nice. It really is worth staying there to see it for yourself! PS.. it’s right on the beach.

A calm oasis

Peaceful oasis in Puerto Escondido! Clean rooms, comfortable bed, plus a little balcony with a hammock and chair. I was worried I'd be too hot at night but I slept very well with the fans. The cats were very cute too, plus a quick walk to the beach, and a 5/10 minute walk to restaurants and bars. The owner was very helpful and very kind after I had an incident of sleep walking in the night! 😅 It felt secure and safe also.

Everything was perfect. The hostal provided everything we needed to enjoy a great vacation. The bed and shower are very comfortable and the cleaning is exceptional. Nico the host is very nice and helpful, and he gave us great recommendations and connected us with good local service providers. The attention to detail is amazing. The hammocks in each room and the roof are super nice, and the pillows in the room were the exact same kind we use in our house to prevent neck pain!

The only bad thing is that we could only stay 3 nights. My 2 minor notes is perhaps adding a door mat and a small trash bin in the bed room in addition to the big one in the bathroom.

Hands Down place to stay in Puerto!

Everything was amazing. The shared spaces are beautiful, full of plants and very well maintained areas. The rooms are very comfortable, well kept and fully equipped with everything you need. The place really surpassed our expectations in every way. The location is perfect, fairly close walking distance to all the good spots such as beach, restaurants and bars, but just in the right spot if you want peace and quiet from the noise and the nightlife. Finally, Nico the owner is really nice and was always attentive to anything we needed.

Colourful, comfy, clean, peaceful & in a great location!

The little bungalows are really cute & colourful, we loved the different musician themes for each one & little chill area outside each room with a hammock & chairs. Very clean, the cleaner came in each day & did an amazing job. Lovely terrace area where you can chill out too. Nico was very accommodating & made sure we had everything we needed & checked in with us throughout our stay. It was a really great location to explore Puerto Escondido from.

Nothing honestly! No AC but wasn’t necessary, the fans worked really well. No “hot water” but we found the water pretty warm from the sun anyway when we showered.

Perfect base in puerto

Great place to stay in puerto - exceptionally clean and comfortable. Good location by the beach a little away from the main strip (but only 10-15 mins walk to most places in town). Highly recommend!

Amazing place!

One of the best places where we stayed in Mexico. The garden is amazing. It cools the places. It was really nice to chill a bit at the accommodation and a perfect escape from the heat. The rooms are very clean. We came back during our trip. Lolo is a very lovely and relaxed host. Just one of the best accommodations in Puerto! For sure! Don't hesitate. Just book.

Excellent stay. I would come back anytime!

The property is very peaceful and quiet. It is very well located, a bit away from the main La Punta center (8 mins walk) and very close to the beach (3-5 mins walk). It has a lot of greenery, which protects from the sun. Even though there is no A/C in the room, it is not really needed due to the constant shade. There is no hot water in the shower (as mentioned in the description) but due to the weather conditions it is not needed at all. The shower is very nice! The room gets cleaned everyday, it is super tidy. The common areas, such as the terrace and the pool, are super nice. I do not write many reviews, but this stay absolutely overcame my expectations. It is better in reality that the profile here can ever justify. I would come back anytime and would recommend to everybody!!

Best place to stay in La Punta

We had a great time in the new era of OneLove and were one of the first guests to experience the new concept. The bungalows are very spacious and clean. The cold water is not a problem in the warm temperatures. All the information for tours, food etc. is in the brochure in the room. We can only recommend the accommodation and thank Nicolas for his hospitality.

A few parasols (e.g. for hire) for the beach would be nice. :)

Overall okay, but not having a first aid kit is unaccaptable

I enjoyed the rooftop with hammocks, big bathroom in the dorm and I met awesome people there. Girl that serves breakfast was very lovely and helpfull.

Expensive for what you get, pool was dirty (green) and there were problems with water. Manager was rude about that too. My friend got bitten by a dog and the night guard said they didn’t have a first aid kit, which is very unsafe…

The vibe of the hostel is really nice and it feels like a little magical garden. It was really quiet and laid back, the personell was super nice. Especially the yoga classes were awesome.

Although the hostel ist located next to the beach, it takes ~15min walk to either La Punta or Zicatela which should be known.

Hard uncomfortable beds and hard lumpy pillows, really noisy at night, dogs barking and roosters crowing all night, difficult to sleep. Headboard on wall had someone’s greasy head print. Towels and linens are really worn out and yet the price per night is almost double what it was four years ago.

Omg I can not say how highly I rate this hostel. It is perfect. The bunks are in cute little cabins with thatched roofs. There is foliage everywhere, each room has its own private terrace with hammock and table and chairs and there's a communal one too. It's idyllic.

Great hostel with great team

Nico and his team are great, always there to help you! The whole atmosphere in the hostel is amazing. It´s definitely a quiet place to rest and charge up your batteries, but if you want to party there are a lot of possibilities near by. Also there is a lot of food to tase and explore. The beach is a 30 seconds walk away and not crowded at all. There are only 4 bed dorms and each has it´s own bathroom. Everything is being cleaned every day, which is great since you always bring back some sand from the beach. All in all it is a great place to stay and value for money.
