This is a really fun hideaway in Puerto Escondido, I think the word 'hostel' is a misnomer, the property does not have any dormitories. Located 5 mins away from the beach, the property has self contained bungalows set in a circular formation around lovely trees and a plunge pool (a welcome addition in the relentless PE heat). The rooms are comfortable and clean, each bungalow also has a hammock, chairs and a little table on a verandah. In addition there is a rooftop terrace with hammocks where I spent evenings reading and listening to the sounds of the waves as they crashed against the shore. The absolute beauty of this place is fact that once you step inside the compound the rest of the world simply fades away.
Nico the proprietor has a great sense of humour, responded to queries promptly and was very helpful.
I think One Love is excellent value for money and I would certainly stay there again :)

Great accommodation in a nice location, close to the beach and Main street with restaurants and bars.
Beautiful cabin with nice decoration and clean facilities, really nice and authentic vibe to enjoy your stay in Puerto Escondido.
Great advice from Nico about activities and nearby restaurants, I would 100% recommend going to One Love Hostal!

We absolutely loved our stay at One Love. The place was even better than the photos. Lolo was incredibly kind and helpful, and her place is truly a little oasis just moments from the ocean. The fans were also incredibly strong and awesome (so do not be concerned at all that there is no AC). There is also a beautiful terrace for yoga and hammocking. Would HIGHLY recommend.
We genuinely had no complaints. This trip was a dream.

Great space with other likeminded people within a little secure garden. The location is good and easy to walk to the la Punta nightlife, comfortable bed and the no hot water was not an issue I needed cold showers everyday it’s so hot there. We enjoyed laying up on the terrace and spotting the beach. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and safe to walk the main lit up streets at night.
A few ants, pool was also a little dirty. The fans are helpful but we still did struggle to cool down before sleeping. Our own fault for not realising Zicatela beach down the road is a bit dangerous for swimming (can still go in just need to be a confident swimmer)
