We only stayed for the one night but we had a lovely evening meal and breakfast and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn't have pets with us but the owners own dogs were there much to the delight of us all especially the children. The dogs were lovely. Our family had a number of rooms which were all quite different from one another and all of them beautiful and the baths and showers were amazing. I wish we'd had more time to explore the grounds as what we managed to see was stunning. A truly wonderful experience and on a further wee note it was lovely to be trusted with an excellent honesty bar. Thank you.
We did have to go outside and in another door to get to the dining room and communal room but it wasn't a big deal and the owner did say if we had to go from one side of the hotel to the other at night we could go through the kitchen which was very kind. There are also a lot of stairs which my wee Granddaughter seemed to enjoy and they were fine for everyone who was reasonably healthy but my Mother did struggle with a bit. The stairs did add to the charm of the building but is something that customers should be aware of. I couldn't fault the service though and the place is just gorgeous.

The food was excellent. The gardens and grounds were fantastic for walking especially with our dog. The rooms are large and very comfortable
