We went self catering.

Lovely touch of a welcoming bottle of wine
Host was really helpful contacting us on the first night to check we knew how to use the storage heaters as it was going cold
Would have been nice to be able to do a walk from the property (perhaps there was one?). As it was, we wouldn’t have had time to do it this time anyway…

The cottage has everything that you will need. Stunning views, comfortable beds and great location with access to many different places (like Glencoe, Isle of Mull). Dishwasher, wash machine, microwave ect.
Decor could do with some updating. Shower need changing as a woman with long thick hair it’s took me a long time to wash them because shower had almost no pressure. And kitchen floor was absolutely freezing but you have to keep kitchen door closed to keep warmth in the living room. Also be ware of neighbours dog as garden isn’t fenced and the dog was a frequent visitor.

Location was lovely, some loch view from upper windows. Livestock in field across the road. We did enjoy the big garden until we realised it was not enclosed.
Main reason for booking this property was the enclosed garden. First morning we discovered it was not enclosed when our dogs ran down the side of the shed into the neighbours garden. They only have a gate, no fence and there is a busy road outside. Neighbours dog visited the garden daily to do its business, so we had to clean that up as well as from our dogs. Property was not clean, dust on lights and furniture, cobwebs in window sill, stained carpets and old furniture. Not much provided in kitchen, cafetiere was falling apart. Place could be amazing if it was renovated to modern standards but is expensive for what is provided. We left a day early because we weren’t comfortable there and our dogs weren’t safe.

Lovely location. On the main road but traffic noise not really a problem.
Kitchen well equipped, bathroom and shower good and comfy beds.
Garden was an extra bonus to sit out in the lovely sunshine we were blessed with all week
Place needs a wee bit of TLC. No hot water for washing up or hand washing but kettle fine for the hot water we needed as we ate out mostly so not an issue. Hooks on doors would be good for hanging towels on.

This place is a lovely place to stay on the Family holiday. We really enjoyed our Hogmanay there. Area is very quite and location is great to drive around to visit closer touristic attractions. Bed's are very comfortable - I didn't have a such a good sleep in a very long time. We received a welcoming gift which was a lovely surprise! House is well prepared for either short or long stay. Overall, this is great place to stay and we will be back over the summer! Thank you!

Jim had everything organised early for us and called in the evening to make sure we had settled in and found everything and explained the heating system etc. There was a lovely welcome of wine and biscuits too. Great garden, perfect for our dog who settled in quickly too. Handy for oban and not far from Clachan Bridge.
