Clean room, great patio with wonderful view of the lake. Location is great, walking distance to SanGiulio and the isola. On-site restaurant was great. The best aspect was the helpful and friendly staff who always went out of their way to make our stay great.

The location was perfect, easy to walk in to Orta San Giulio. Had a meal at the Hotel and the restaurant across the road, both meals were exceptional. Breakfast was great, we would definitely stay again if in the area again

3rd visit to Hotel Bocciolo - and we will definitely have to go there again. The owners of the hotel is the nicest people…..the restaurant is great (absolutely no need to go elsewhere) and the location is few minutes from the lake with “beach “ possibility’s

It is very good hotel, exellent for the price. Beautiful view from the balcony, walkable distance to Orta San Julio, 40 min drive to Lago Maggiori. The room was clean and big, the restaurant is very good. I only should mention that in our room the Internet connection was very weak.

We chose this hotel based on all the positive reviews by others and we were not disappointed! Bedroom and bath: spacious, clean and comfortable; front desk personnel: warm and helpful; breakfast: excellent! The lady in charge of the breakfast service was very nice and extremely kind! Location wise, it is a short distance to town center. We followed the front desk clerk’s advise and tried both the paths which were about 15 minutes and 30 minutes respectively. For someone who likes walking, this distance is nothing, especially when you are enjoying the magnificent lake views. But do bring your mosquitos repellant spray with you; you would need that in the evenings!

The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. The food in the restaurant was second to none and we ate there every night during our stay. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed on a Monday.

The views from the rooms are the best we have ever experienced. Check in was efficient and friendly. The property is easy to find but situated just off a quite busy road which makes walking anywhere a bit nerve wracking. There is a camp site adjacent which is a bit of an eye sore, but to be honest we would return just for the views. Breakfast is great, plenty of choice and very helpful staff, and free parking. The restaurant food is ok, our choices were a bit lacking in seasoning. The terrace is a nice place to enjoy a drink and soak up that view.

Delightful hotel with lovely lake view run by a friendly family. The hotel/restaurant has been recently extended and modernised in a fairly minimalist style. The breakfast is outstanding and worthy of a 5 star hotel - very fresh food and top quality ingredients. We will definitely return!

Lovely hotel set in a slightly elevated position with views over the lake. Hot tub is only available if you book a room with hot tub - bit disappointing given the prominent picture of it. However lovely garden to relax in and short walk to ‘beach’ where you can swim. 15 minute walk to the old town and port area - fabulous. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was amazing all with a view over the lake as the sun went down . Breakfast was wonderful with Chef making omelettes that were the best.

this hotel is not to be missed the family and staff are second to none it is in a lovely position with lovely lake views and a lake beach for swimming just across the road there are lovely walks around the peninsular of orta san guilio and inexpensive boat trips on the lake the hotel is in a very peacefull setting with gardens to relax in the food at the hotel is very good it is a very popular restaurant with a very substantial buffet breakfast wether you have a car or not as we did not we can recommend this as a beautiful holiday

Cross the main road and walk uphill along it for ten minutes and then a smaller road with pavement for 10 minutes or so to go down to the lake for boats to the island and see the Piazza and lovely quaint streets and up to the UNESCO area Enjoyed our stay but not the restaurant meal due To bad service.

This family run hotel was fantastic and we wish we could have stayed longer. The views from the room were breathtaking. The breakfast was amazing with a high quality selection of fruits, cold cuts breads, cheeses, deserts home made jams. The chef prepared heavenly eggs and pancakes. We also had lunch at their restaurant which was delicious. Importantly for us the hotel sits right on a beautiful tree shaded beach on lake Orta. We will come back.

We enjoyed the view of the lake from our terrace and that we could walk down to the lake to swim and relax on the grass. The hotel is a very short car ride from the charming village of Orta San Giulio with its many restaurants and ferry to the Island. It is less than an hour’s drive from Milan Malpensa airport and a short and very scenic drive from the larger Lago Maggiore. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay

In a beautiful location overlooking the lake. Suggest a lakeside room. It’s worth the little bit extra to be able to enjoy the beautiful view. Hotel is family run and Alberto and his mum looked after us so well. The other staff also very helpful. Wonderful breakfast with so much choice. Alberto will cook you eggs in any way you want or make delicious pancakes. The gardens are a little garden wher you can enjoy sun or shade. A little way out of the town but worth it if you like peace and quiet. Enjoyed some lovely meals at the restaurant too which had an extensive wine list of local wines.
