A gem of a find!

Ample and easy parking, huge room, wonderful restaurant, location and view. We were able to walk to the city center and back (a little further than we realized) and also tour the island nearby easily. Lake Orta is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy life. It's charming, historic, small and not crowded.

One day the restaurant was closed and so were a lot of others, so we had some difficulty finding one but finally did.

Breakfast and location were good, room was well sized.

We were really excited for the jacuzzi and when we arrived, were told it was closed for the season (even though it was being promoted in the elevator). No coffee maker or kettle in the room.

The owner went above and beyond to make sure we had everything and was unfailingly lovely, as was his wife who ran the restaurant

It was a bit of a walk to the centre and my wife was on a wheelchair however the hotel arranged a taxi for us

Great hotel for all the family

Wonderful location, the view from the terrace is stunning. Breakfast is fantastic, fresh fruit, breads with cheeses, meats or omelettes, something for all. Restaurant was also very good. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The rooms were very nice and clean, the staff were friendly, the restaurant was excellent and the terrace has a fabulous view of the lake. The lake and small beach are a few mins walk away; the beach has a small snack bar. The old town of Orta San Giulio is lovely and pedestrian.

There was nothing we didn't like, but just note that if you want to walk to the old town, it's around 25 mins (road plus lakeside path).

Beautiful hotel and exceptional breakfast

Nice hotel, helpful staff. Breakfast was exceptional. Restaurant closed the night we arrived but we went to San Antonio just down the road on the recommendation of the receptionist. Walk up to the hotel is very steep, admittedly we stayed during a heatwave but that caused issues for my husband. You can walk into town, go via the green lakeside walk to the right of the peninsula, slightly longer but beautiful. Would stay again

All good, very nice location. Easy to find and reach. Quiet and far enough from the main road not to be bothered from it. On site restaurant is of very good quality, be sure to make reservations.

The entrance to the hotel is very steep. If you have mobility issues, think about this. Hotel is also a wedding venue and for us this meant that the restaurant was one night unavailable. That was a petty, because the restaurant is of excellent quality. In order to make this hotel perfect, they should invest in a pool. With the very hot summers, I'd prefer a pool rather than the overcrowded beach at the lake.

Lake Orta, the little known gem

Had a room with a garden terrace, wonderful views of the lake. Food was good and staff very pleasant.

Nothing really.Drive and car parking is on a very steep slope, but that is the penalty for having such terrific veiws of the lake.

The hotel was ideal for our 4 day trip.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Good gluten free options. We found the beds comfortable but it is a very personal thing. It is a short walk from town but we enjoyed that. I would happily stay there again.

I was surprised by the state of the bathroom: paint on the tiles, no caulking around the shower tray, tiling bead untrimmed. All cosmetic but it was surprising. There was also little space for putting toiletries in the bathroom.

We had a lovely stay and will be back.

Everything. It is a lovely family run hotel with the attention to detail amazing and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was great with homemade and locally grown produce; rooms were pleasant and clean; staff were welcoming and friendly; restaurant good value for money and food delicious with amazing views over Lake Orta. Would have loved to stay for longer. On the final day we had an early start, so the receptionist offered to organise for breakfast to be left in the bedroom fridge for us, which was much appreciated.

I can’t think of anything I could fault to be honest. Just perfect.
