The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there was a lot of construction blocking the main route to the parking but the hotel made us aware of this a few days ahead of time and also gave us an alternative route. The breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable.

Staff were brilliant and spoke excellent English even though I did try to speak French! Confusing instructions on Hotels.com re. parking which ask you to phone and reserve and when I rang the hotel, they told me we don't have to ring and reserve parking, just turn up. A bit difficult to know here the Ibis car park is and how to get into it, as there is a ground floor open air one and then a basement one which both look a bit narrow to get into. We double-parked and went into ask and I spoke to a really helpful young man on reception who told us what to do to open the barrier and were able to find a space in the open air car park. One member of staff, Fatoumata, deserves special mention. She went above and beyond to help me when I gave a complicated request to try and track down some perfume I wanted to buy for my mother which she had bought on a previous trip at a visitor centre for a chateau. She rang the property and waited patiently for about 20mins for them to answer. She finally spoke to someone in the gift shop for me to enquire about the perfume - as it was complicated I couldn't have managed with my standard of French language! It saved us driving out there 40mins to find out they no longer sold the perfume so I am so grateful she went above and beyond to help with my slightly odd request. Went to the restaurant around the corner Au Coin Gourmand - fantastic and wonderful steak with super wine. We felt the Ibis restaurant a little pricy for the food on offer.

An overnight stay where we found the disabled room to be be almost ideal - very comfortable beds, quiet for a town centre location & a good shower. Breakfast was of a very good standard that seems to be typical of Ibis Styles. Obviously a popular destination as many other Europeans were staying at the same time as ourselves.

I was traveling by car from Malaga to Norway and had planned a stop in Tours based upon the length of each leg I needed to make. Since I normally like to book a higher class of hotel I was pleasantly surprised of this hotel. Parking was important for me and they had ample parking both in the backyard and in a parking garage. Checkin was pleasant and they guided me When I asked how to get to the old part of town. Room was cleaned and the bed was good with lots of extra pillows, just like I like it. Breakfast was included and was better than what I was prepared for based on the type of hotel I had chosen. Everything was fresh and just what I needed.

The hotel rooms are clean, and spacious, we got a large room with a nice window. The parking lot needs to be painted again, but besides that everything is good. The hotel is close to a supermarket and the city is located on an area that facilitates short trips to visit attractions close to Tours.

Good choice if you want to visit Tours; street was a bit noisy at night (people on the street) but it quieted down; excellent breakfast, lots to choose from including being able to boil yourself an egg. Very friendly checkin/out. We opted to park on the street (free) vs. the self-park parkade.

The hotel was full of light, the staff were helpful,and the rooms were well looked after.The breakfast room was large, and the service brisk. The room had no drawers or shelves and only five coat hangers,not enough for a double room.The rectangular bathroom basin took far too long to fill, and there was only one chair plus a pouffe and a tiny desk. The room was spacious, but the space could be better used.

Good location for a Loire Valley visit with easy access from hotel to all major roads.Whilst not in centre of town - a 20 min walk - there are bus & tram stops nearby and there's a clean, frequent and rapid service into town via the railway station. (Note that the centre of Tours is not "car friendly" so leave the car at the hotel). Our room was a 6th floor corner room overlooking the square and by French standards was "huge" - as was the bathroom !! Unable to open the bedroom window as the handle had been removed but at least the bathroom window opened so we weren't relying on air conditioning for "fresh air". Whilst the room was clean and comfortable we could not help but notice a "bad drain" smell lingering a few times when we went into our room - and it wasn't from our bathroom - which lead to me "downgrading" the review by a point. The typical good value Ibis buffet breakfast is available however there is a shortage of "eateries" in the area for an evening meal - other than the hotel.Pleasant, friendly English speaking staff with secure "paid" parking and wifi available.Despite the "bad drain" smell I would consider this hotel for another visit to Tours.

We found the claim that the hotel is 500m from the train station and old town to be, at best, misleading. The train station is a good 20 minute walk from the hotel, and the edge of the old town at least another 10 minutes beyond that. The hotel seemed to be geared more towards coach parties who completely took over the hotel restaurant. We never found the bar open as the waiter was doubling as the bar man and he was just too busy to do both jobs. We stayed during August and the only restaurant we found near to the hotel was closed for the holidays. There were a couple of kebab shops and pizza takeaways open though - not really what you go to France for! The staff on the whole didn't go out of their way to be helpful and although our room was huge it was on the seventh floor and had a sloping ceiling which made it a bit odd. To finish the holiday off, when checking out, the receptionist tried to charge us for 12 breakfasts even though we hadn't had breakfast there at all. If we go back to Tours we definitely won't be staying at the Turone.

Not the most welcoming hotel we have stayed at. We were virtually ignored by waiting staff both days at breakfast. They seemed totally pre-occupied with making up tables for lunch or dinner for a large coach party. In fact throughout our stay coach parties seemed to be their only priority! The redeeming factor was that the room was very comfortable. Hotel is easy to find but quite a way from the attractions.
