The room was clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, the bed was uncomfortable (hard). The toilet was noisy and a tricky to operate especially in the night. The floor/Lino in the room had lifted! We could hear other guests flushing their toilets - the water ran through our bathroom walls. Lastly we could hear other guests chatting late into the night, making it difficult to sleep. The tea and coffee provided were not particularly great and were served at a lukewarm temperature. The scrambled eggs were kept warm on-top of a heating blanket, and the serving ladles were contaminated as they were left resting outside the pots.

Beautiful hotel, great location (not even 5 minutes from Haymarket), staff were helpful friendly and wonderful and the breakfast was exactly what we needed to set us up for the day. Great experience and can’t wait to go back.

Had a fantastic stay, staff were friendly and the location was just perfect.
However on the tablet provided in the room, we strictly requested no room service. Each day they tried to provide room service but we had to turn them away. While getting ready on our last morning, one of the cleaners attempted to open our door without knocking or announcing while my partner was actively getting dressed. If the door had not been deadbolted, he would have come in.
Despite this hiccup, the stay was lovely.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was ideally located i.e. close to the train station, stadium and main high street. The room was small but cosy and nicely decorated. We loved the bed with the TV at the foot.

Lots of items finished and not being replaced. No plates which caused wait. Bacon seemed rather fatty and undercooked Just a few things would have made it better

Check in was slow and area far too small. Difficult to understand staff at reception and misheard details. The room as lovely but breakfast a disappointment. Lack of choices at same time. .

It's a hard one to rate. The bed was comfy, everywhere was clean and so were the linens; there was a bath with shower, which worked fine; there were nice toiletries, in eco-friendly refillable bottles; there was a safe and (joy!) a fridge. The lighting was reasonable and there were decent mirrors and, very unusually, there was a decent amount of surface space in the bathroom.
On the other hand, the room was a very awkward shape and the space there had not been best used. To get from the far side of bed to the door or bathroom you had to squeeze past a desk and avoid breaking a toe on the chair which was a bit too big for the desk so stood by the wardrobe. The wardrobe was very shallow (too small for a cabin bag to be put in out of the way), and the safety tethers on two of the windows were broken.
At about 6:30 on our second morning, we were jerked awake by the smoke/gas alarm going off. No trace of smoke or steam and even in the relaxation of sleep I don't think either or both of us could release enough gas to trigger an alarm! Most concerningly, the front desk seemed to have no record of an alarm going off.
So we had a pleasant stay overall and managed the spatial challenges OK. But if it had been part of a longer trip, meaning one or two large cases - or if we had been larger people - it would have been a different story. The price was reasonable for what we got so it merits 4 stars, but be aware of the challenges as well.

Rooms are ok, showers floors are breaking and makes showering uncomfortable. Water pressure not so good. Staff did not honor a breakfast promotion that came on the room's tablet and made us feel crazy when mentioning at morning.

This hotel has good staff and is convenient for Princess Street and the tourist sites. The reason for the three star rating is the single rooms which Sheridan claim are good for the single traveller but are ridiculously small. They should be renamed cells though I think that monks would object to a room this same.

The location is extremely convenient, check in was SO fast and friendly, employees were so nice and welcoming, place smelled and looked amazing, breakfast was delicious, and the attached restaurant/bar was a wonderful place for food and drink. We are such big fans of this hotel!

Spent two weeks in Europe at supposedly fancier hotels, but The Four Points Sheraton was as nice and clean as any of the more expensive options.

I would definitely consider another (longer) stay at Four Points Sheraton in Haymarket, Edinburgh. I was only able to stay an overnight, but it is in my favourite area to stay while in the city. Convenient to trams and Waverley train station is about 15-20mins walk away. Very walkable area and lots to explore nearby. There's even a Tesco Express right next door! The hotel room itself was really comfortable and spacious (I stayed in Room 001). I was not able to explore any amenities or the restaurant (Amalfino), but staff were very good for check-in/out.

There was a huge gift bag full of treats and a lovely handwritten note welcoming us to our room during the Oasis concert. The service and product were top notch. We will be back next time we visit Edinburgh.

Absolutely first class. I had always planned to arrive early to settle in and work from the hotel until room was ready at 3pm to then quickly turn around and head to Oasis, thought I'd ask to see if I could check in early. No problem, they remembered my request and came to find me to tell me it was all good to go at about 11am. Ideal!!! Got chatting to the manager and the team and a nicer, more professional group of people you couldn't meet. Great location, quality room, exceptional service.
It added to an absolutely unforgettable trip. Yes it was expensive, but everywhere was with Oasis and the fringe happening simultaneously.
A huge thank you to all the team. Would 1000% stay again when I'm next in Edinburgh.

Great trip. 20min. Walking to castle. A lot cheaper than places by castle. Will recommend to friends.

The area directly around the hotel was a little dirty. However the hotel was very nice and the staff were excellent!

The hotel is well located for easy access by train or tram to High street and the Royal Mile. The breakfast is
a good option for a quick bite before heading out sightseeing for the day. The staff was kind enough to hold our luggage while we were on a tour as we returned to the hotel after.

Fantastic staff and great convenient location to all transportation hubs! The room was clean and well kept. I had a challenge with the step up shower/tub. I'm 6'1" and edge of the tub was above my knees. There are no hand rails, support so I'm stepping up into a wet slick surface. Getting out was a challenge. The way the 1/2 door tried to keep the water in just lets it run onto the floor. I used a full set of towels just cleaning up the water OUTSIDE the tub.
I wrote to the hotel and they responded instantly and apologized. They had nicely said I should have asked for a different room (valid point) but after 14 hours of travel, I wanted shower and bed. When you book, just be sure to talk about the tub if you have mobility challenges (or over the age of 50 like me!). Great location, great staff.

Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Slightly surprised the hotel was a mile from the city but transport links are brilliant. We were disappointed that there was only pizza on the menu on the day we arrived but the breakfast choice was great.

Bathroom tiles were black and moldy, pillows were yellow stained, carpet was dirty

The restaurant was spacious and food was good
The room at this hotel was tiny with no area no put personal items. The only positive thing in this hotel room was their gigantic tv in the room
10.0 / 10.0
Was nice and perfect for what we needed.
3.0 / 10.0
The compact room we stayed in was fine, certainly not a room you would wish to spend a long period of time in but fine for an overnight stay. It certainly lived up to its compact description! Disappointed in the amount of chipped woodwork and paintwork, I would not expect that in a Sheraton hotel.
Felt overpriced at £285 for one night. Breakfast was nice, fresh and well stocked, and staff friendly.
2.0 / 10.0
This was the worst Sheraton I have ever stayed in. It was a run down, dated dump. Grout in shower was missing and stained. Curtain was torn from the top. No way to plug hair dryer in the bathroom so had to sit on bed and the cord was barely long enough then to stand up and do hair. The bar staff was friendly, but the facility was not a Sheraton brand. Old and needs a big do-over.

Solid hotel. Great bar/restaurant inside. Our room was right by the stairs and we heard doors banging all morning. Kind of annoying. Other than that it was great.

Very good stay

We arrived long before check-in time but the staff happily stored our luggage until we returned in the afternoon. When checking in once again the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was well furnished and supplied with all the "bits and bobs" that we expected. Our bed was comfortable and we slept quite soundly. Our hotel package included a breakfast but we were leaving for an early flight which meant that we would leave before the kitchen opened. But the staff, upon being informed of this during check-in, arranged a couple of light breakfasts to take away which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.
