Red Roof Inn Dayton North Airport

I had to go to the office everyday to ask for clean bath towels. I stayed there a week they did not come and clean the room one time. The room smelled like mold had cockroaches. Woke up one morning with a cockroach walking on me while I was in bed sleeping. I stated this hotel in the past 5 years and it was in good shape but now it is really not. I will not be staying here again

I MADE RESERVATIONS FOR A TWO NIGHT STAY FOR A HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE ROOM. WHEN I ARRIVED THAT EVENING AROUND 10 PM, I WAS TOLD THE ROOM WAS ON 2ND FL. AT THAT TIME I HAD TO PAY ADDL $17 FOR A RM ON 1ST FLR. I PULL UP AND START TO UNLOAD MY WHEELCHAIR BOUND MOTHER, AND THE OCCUPANTS ACROSS FROM US ARE OUTSIDE ARGUING, IN BRAS AND NEGLIGEES. TRAFFIC ALL NIGHT AT THOSE ROOMS. LEFT THE NEXT MORNING, AND RETURNED THE NEXT DAY AROUND 7 PM. RM KEY WAS DEACTIVATED, WENT TO FRONT DESK AND THE LADY REACTIVATED IT. GOT TO THE ROOM, OPENED DOOR, BED NOT MADE, TRASH NOT OUT, NO FRESH TOWELS OR FACECLOTHS. I GO BACK TO DESK AND WAS TOLD THAT I DIDN'T REQUEST ROOM TO BE CLEANED!! IF THAT WASN'T BAD ENOUGH, I ASKED FOR FRESH TOWELS/FACE CLOTHS AND LINENS. NONE AVAILABLE..BUT SHE OFFERED TO TAKE ME TO LAUNDRY TO CHK FOR MYSELF, WHICH I TOOK AS SARCASM. I ASKED FOR REFUND, SO THAT MOTHER WOULD NOT HAVE TO SLEEP IN SOILED BED (SHE'S INCONTINENT). I WAS TOLD, I DIDNT GET THE ROOM THRU THEM THAT I NEEDED TO SPEAK TO EXPEDIA. NO REFUNDS..WELL THE BATHROOM WITH THE HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE BENCH AND WAND FOR SHOWER..THE WAND DID NOT WORK. NO SHOWER FOR MOM--INCONTINENT FOR TWO DAYS!! TERRIBLE! THE SINK HAD SOMETHING IN IT AND WOULD HOLD WATER UNTIL DRAINED SLOWLY OUT. NO PHONE IN ROOM, HAD TO WALK TO FRONT DESK TO ASK WHERE ICE MACHINE WAS. THE SECOND NIGHT, NEIGHBORS OUTSIDE EVERY FEW MINUTES SMOKING CIGS, W/ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. I GOT THE FEELING ILLEGAL ACTIVITY WAS GOING ON THERE

This is an upgraded Red Roof Inn. The rooms are nice and renovated with new flooring, bedding and furniture. There is a strong smoke smell. Other wise not bad for a short stay if your not trying to break the budget.

The room was recently updated but moving forward I would recommend not having white or light coloured bedcovers.

This hotel is poorly managed and lacking basic amenities. There was no hand soap available and the shampoo and body wash dispensers were empty and didn’t function properly after going back to the front desk asking them to be refilled.

When I checked in, The non smoking room smelled of cigarettes. I found a maintenance man, and with the help of his translation phone, got him to understand, and he sprayed to the best of his ability, and opened door to air out room. Then the fridge didn't work. Found him again and he took a fridge out of another room and exchanged it . ( BTW) I could not understand the gal at front desk at all. When I got into the shower, the soap dispenser didn't work. Had to go to from desk, luckily a guy I could barely understand. He came up, couldn't get it working, so just put soap in a plastic cup. OMG!! So the coffee pot comes with coffee, but no cups for the coffee!! There is also an iron board, but no iron. So, My suggestion is DON"T GO THERE!! The room was actually clean except for the smoke stench.

Overall it was cool. It was just nosey .

I didn't like the fact that when I tried to get in touch with Expedia.They kept hanging up on me while I was stranded at this god awful hotel

So gross.. our room had sticky dirty floors, bugs, nasty nasty beds and the whole room smelled. Couldn’t get a refund they said because I booked through a third party so they offered me another room. It was a little better but still smellly and dirty floors. I ended up leaving after an hour or so for a new hotel . I didn’t want my toddler playing there

Price. Clean bed and room with adequate HVAC, the minimum needed for quick overnight at the Dayton Hamvention. It was all the way across town from Xenia but it was also NOT $300.00/night!

I am not from Ohio but driving up to the hotel felt scary. The hotel is on the end of a road of hotels. The area looks a little bit sketchy in the dark. It's an old outdated hotel. The pictures don't match what the room looks like. It feels like a motel 6.

the room smelled of mold and the bathroom was old, with degrading caulk and missing some molding and generally needs a refresh. No coffee in the room or breakfast offered. Could have predicted it given the price.

If I could've found somewhere else to go, I would've! Within 15 minutes of being in the room, a roach comes crawling from behind the table onto the top of the table between the beds. The worst sleep I've had in a while.

Check-in process was efficient, clerk was couteous, but property needs to be updated.

The hotel refused my fully paid stay because my wife made the reservation and she was not with me! So I had to pay a second time to get into a room. An hour later while I was asleep two men started knocking on the door and were insisting that I open the door and let them come inside to check my smoke alarm! Upon hearing that there was nothing wrong with my smoke alarm and that I was not going to allow entry under any condition they continued to bang at the door for another ten minutes before leaving under threat of the police coming. I called the front desk to report the incident and the desk clerk said that they worked for the hotel and were really trying to get inside because they suspected I might be smoking in the room! Nobody had been smoking and the lights were out! When I got up to use the washroom at night I saw a cockroach on the floor. I’m 68 years old and very well travelled This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. If you stay here and have a bad experience don’t say that you weren’t warned. You’ll be happier sleeping in your car!

Honestly I will never book a room there again. Our first night, we did not have any heat and temps were in the 30's. We did not have any towels and the refrigerator did not work. Our second room we constantly had to complain about not having hot water and we had roaches. The outside is covered in dog feces, the washer did not work and the vending machine always had issues. I was so very disappointed with our stay there.

Rooms had lot of cockroaches. It was very cold were we couldn't use Heater as its broken. Cockroaches in toilets as well and toilet door had a big hole in it

Me and my wife stay there years ago when they upgraded on a different management however now the place is totally the opposite I would not recommend this for any circumstance look like most of the residents were there staying long term place with dirty beds were not fit for anyone sheets were dirty there were debris and trash behind the nightstand and under the bed as well some type of bugs flying around and crawling around wish I could have got my money back and stayed somewhere else however I didn't do it this terrible experience would not recommend for anyone

Check in was efficient and fast. Room was clean and bathroom sufficient. Bed was good however sheets were worn out and should have been replaced; no blanket on the bed.

It was just a room. On the dirty side, but not gross. Felt yucky outside. The staff was meh. NO fridge. We had a flight change, so just a room is all we needed. Everything about this property is just shy of meh, and just shy of dirty. If all you need is a bed for a couple hours, this place is ok. But just ok.

Advertised as non-smoking, but it is noticeably NOT. Room 104 reeked of smoke & had a cigarette burn on bedding. Moved us to room 140. It did not smell much better, but we took it. That night after returning from activities, realized there was no shower curtain. Pillow cover had a cigerette burn as well as bedding, again. Ceiling was peeling. Hole in bottom of bathroom wall. And back of.toilet had a lid tbat did not fit it. This place is disgusting. And wall side of security lock did not match up with location of matching door end. You get what you pay for. When my husband checked us out, he told clerk about no shower curtain. She did not understand, saying something about "no hot water?" He said "No! There was NO shower curtain! We.could not take a shower!" Do not stay here!!!
