Not a major complain. But I would say it is in a smelly area. Lots of cows nearby and the smell can get into the room. I mean it is nature so it smell like nature I shouldn’t be surprised. So not that I didn’t like let us say wasn’t expecting it

Ridiculously overpriced for what we got, not recommended

We liked the location close to Alpe di siusi, liked the pool. Free local bus passes. Liked robe and slippers. Welcome drink.

We didn’t like the rude waiter at dinner or the menu. Didn’t like having to sit at an assigned table and no coffee in room. The room was small and uncomfortable. Soap dispensers and hair dryer didn’t work well. Temperature control and heated towel rack didn’t work, room was too hot. Strong smell of horse manure. Room was very expensive, did not feel like spending more for spa services.

Two nights in lovely Castleroto

Room 405 on corner with balcony and nice view. The outdoor pool level seating area very nice for enjoying a glass of wine. Easy walk to grocery stores and city. We did not use the spa facilities or eat dinner there but breakfast was wonderful, but with assigned seating. Parking underground available both nights.

Smoking on adjacent balcony. Shower door was weird to operate and a screw fell out. After staying mainly in apartments, the room seemed small but actually above average for EU.

Great location, not worth the price.

The location is great, with underground carpark. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was ok, curtains were pointless as they let all light in, too bright to sleep after sunrise.

The spa is nudist only, which was very uncomfortable, had we of known this we wouldn’t have booked this hotel. On all the advertising and photos it shows people in swimwear. One night at 11.15pm we needed something, reception was closed and all the lights off. In our opinion the hotel is extremely overpriced.

Very nice location and amenities but a hefty price tag.

everything was clean, the pool and food were excellent. convenient location with bus stop right out front. the staff was kind and accommodating. The food was delicious and abundant!

It was very expensive for my family, especially since we had to pay for 2 rooms. Also I would recommend that with the lack of air conditioning that you provide ways to cool off in the rooms such as robust fans.

They make you feel special by giving all their attention to every detail. If I could choose an favorite mountain hotel Abinea Romantic would be the perfect one

Very comfortable bed and clean room.

There was no follow-through on a spa request despite there being an online booking option available. When I asked about it because I’ve never experienced being completely ignored after being offered a time, I was laughed at. Additionally, it was very difficult to make arrangements to pay as I needed to leave before the desk opened. I was just repeatedly told the desk doesn’t open until 730. I’m not sure if this had anything to do with being a solo traveler, a cultural misunderstanding, or just bad manners.

Amazing Stay in the Dolomites!

Amazing hotel, great amenities and food/drinks, friendly staff, and the perfect location to explore the region.

It was super hot the week we were there and there was no AC in the room so it was very hot, even with the balcony door open all night (and the outside temperature being cool) which made sleeping difficult. I would absolutely still recommend this hotel.

Comfortable and peaceful gateway in the Dolomites

Staff are friendly. We were able to find almost everything we needed. The view from the outdoor poor is amazing and the indoor spa area is well equipped. Quality of meals from the kitchen is way beyond our expectations. Best breakfast I've ever had and dinner was good too.

Beautiful Lovely Hotel in the Dolamite Mountains!!

The hotel is really fabulous! We visited in June 2022 with really good weather, clear and sunny. The hotel is immaculate and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. Upon arrival you're given a beach bag with lots of towels and slippers for the pool and spa. The hotel provides a free pass for the town bus. We took the bus in the morning for a 15min ride to reach Compatch, a ski lift center that takes you to a number of hiking areas. The bus takes you back to the Hotel or to the Kastleruth/Castlerotto town square. It's worth visiting. After a day of hiking we took advantage of the pool and spa services. It was really relaxing. Also, the food is really great! The breakfast buffet is super!

Nothing really, everything was great! One thing though, maybe a cultural difference since this is the South Tyrol... we asked the host & hostess of the restaurant if we could sit anywhere we wanted. Shock! No, we had to sit at our assigned table (we bought the breakfast plan and the dinner package)! It's as if asked them to pick up the entire hotel and move it by 6 inches! Boy, we were shocked that they were shocked! It must have been an unusual request to ask if we could sit anywhere in the dining room!

A place to stay if you like pool and enjoy the SPA

The staff in this hotel provided a great services. From the ladies in the reception desk, the restaurants staff to the cleaning ladies are all friendly, patient and like to help. The hotel provided dinner package for 40 Euro per person and it is good deal. But the dinner time is kind of late for me so that I only ate there once during my four nights stay. The SPA is good even I did not use them all.

The hotel is by a key road of the area. The pros is easier for transportation and the cons is that the traffic noisy in the night. Close the window and slide door to the balcony would help but I was still bothered. The worst is that it was unseasonal warm weather during my stays, it was really not comfortable with window closed and no A/C. Make my stay worst was my next door's guests smoke in the balcony, I am energetic to smoke, not only that I was not able to enjoy the luxury of the balcony but also I need to close the door/window in an abnormal warm weather.

Good with reserve

The position, the building and hotel facilities are superb. The roof top swimming pool is great! Surrounding area is a pearl on the mountains. The little village of Castelrotto is very pleasant.

Just a little advice for guests. We had to pay for toll-free numbers calls (sic!), it's about 50 Euro cents/minute from room. Should you leave the hotel before end of booking, you'll be requested to pay the full stay. Clean room but not super-shining.

Romantic hotel to stay at any time

The room was spacious and nice. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, specially the young lady in reception and the lady in the breakfast service. The SPA was sooo good (if you do not mind being naked in front of other people). The terrace pool was a nice perk. I was very impressed with the breakfast selection, one of the best selections of fruits, breads and cereals and really nice coffee.

I did not find the bed very comfy but might be my personal taste. It is a expensive hotel however you get excellent service and perks like a cake buffet, so I guess you get what you are paying for.

Bello ma da rivedere

Struttura molto bella, spa spettacolare, garage con stazioni di ricarica per veicoli elettrici; tutto in legno, staff molto cortese (o almeno quasi tutti i suoi componenti)

colazione ricca e varia, ma tutto pasticciato, creme e marmellate, uova strapazzate inguardabili, chiuse in un contenitore per tenerle al caldo ma non idoneo in quanto facendo condensa rimaneva l’acqua sul fondo; tutto il buffet, anche se completo, senza nessuna copertura; buona la spremuta fresca di arancia ma il resto era da rivedere! lo staff di sala peró é stato estremamente gentile e professionale. La stanza era bella ma anziché concentrarsi sui “romantici” giochi di luce, potevano concentrarsi sulla mautenzione e la pulzia (termoarredo in bagno con la ruggine, lavandino sporco di dentifricio bianco su un lato.. mimetizzato con lo stesso… questo denuncia il fatto che non viene pulito d’appertutto ma solo dove sembra sporco, e parliamo di un lavandino, figuriamoci il resto) Prezzo estremamente elevato in rapporto a queste cose! Un altra cosa estremamente odiosa: rientrando in hotel mi sono accordo di aver dimenticato la tessera magnetica per l’apertura della porta, vado in reception e comunico il problema chiedendo scusa per il disagio; la receprionist mi dice che anziche farmi un’ulteriore copia, sarebbe venuta lei ad aprire la porta, penso tra me e me, meglio, avremmo fatto sicuramente prima! arrivati in stanza, ci apre la porta, entra lei per prina guardandosi intorno, le mostro le due tessere che erano rimaste in stanza e va via.. qualche secondo dopo, senza bussare apre la porta con la sua chiave e sempre scrutando intorno ci comunica che se volessimo il rifacimento della stanza dovevamo togliere il “non disturbare” Lo avevo messo li apposta per non essere disturbati! Avró scambiato la gentilezza per invadenza? per me é stata INVADENZA! in tanti anni non mi era mai accaduto!

Mi é piaciuto tutto, la staff molto accogliente e disponibile, la camera era stupenda, pulitissima e con giochi di luci e musica che creava il tutto molto romantico, per finire la spa bellissima, la mia parte preferita é stata la Sky pool, la vista sulle Dolomiti é qualcosa di magnifico. Ho avuto la fortuna anche di beccare la neve e ha reso il mio soggiorno ancora più fantastico !

Empfehlenswert!

Sehr schönes Hotel und ideale Lage. Geräumiger Parkplatz in der Garage. Es riecht wunderbar nach Holz, wenn man das Hotel betritt. Aussergewöhnlich schöner Nassbereich mit Hallenbad und verschiedenen Saunen sowie ein toller Swimmingpool und Sauna mit Aussicht auf dem Dach. Man konnte in diesen Bereichen das teilweise schlechte Wetter problemlos und mit Freude überbrücken.

Uns hat jedoch nicht wirklich gepasst, dass einem für Frühstück und Nachtessen ein Tisch zugeteilt wurde. Ausserdem zeigten nicht alle Mitarbeiter im Restaurantbereich die erwartete Kundenfreundlichkeit. Dies haben wir dem Management mitgeteilt und deren Reaktion war sehr professionell.

Top Hotel . Wunderschöner Wellnessbereich, außergewöhnlich gutes Frühstücksbüffet ( Riesenauswahl), Top Personal stets freundlich und hilfsbereit .

Einige Hotelgäste haben die Vorschriften im Wellnessbereich nicht eingehalten . Hoher Lärmpegel und mit Badebekleidung im Saunabereich . Das fand ich persönlich als sehr störend und respektlos .Würde mir wünschen , das in diesem Bereich mehr kontrolliert wird . Ansonsten war alles zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit.
