Would have liked to have a shelf in the shower because the small tray was broken. Road noise was pretty loud. Otherwise, overall experience was very good. Breakfast was tasty and the access to the luggage lounge was MAJOR. Would recommend.

They don’t have anyone to do check in at any hour. They don’t have a garage that they say they have It’s impossible to stop in front of the hotel to leave a luggage, so you have to carry in the car, find a garage and come back. Sometimes in the rain. But the worst part is you can’t ask anyone. I enjoy people

It is an excellent hotel, however, please note that it is missing some of the staffing and attendance you would see at a bigger hotel. But if you live without 24hr concierge, and other things like a more spacious storage and ability to do some small laundry or ironing, this is really a great spot. Easily walkable to the centre of Salzburg ina great neighbourhood.

Not a single positive thing to say about the property ....zero customer service. There was no one at the cafe to answer or help answer any questions. Terrible check-in. process, horrible breakfast and the guy there was only interested in collecting money for the breakfast.

The rooms are staffed with very basic amenities, the coffee close soon and they don’t have any of lace to storage food or boil water. Positive points: cleanness, 20 min walk from old town and supermarket at 2 min walk

We loved staying in this hotel. It was just close enough to the city centre. The quality of the breakfast was excellent!!! Unfortunately, we left an electrical item in the room. As soon as we realised we contacted the hotel and arranged for the item to be sent to our home address. They were so helpful and understanding and because of this I would most certainly return to this hotel again

When we arrived and wanted to check in, there was no-one there to receive/welcome us. We were expected to let ourselves into the property using codes on my personal phone. (It had gone dead so we were temporarily unable to get into the property. AARGH!!!!

I paid for the property for 2 people and kid but the room is very very small and there is no space for kid. Description of the property was not accurate. Also in bathroom water was getting clogged so had to speak to them for sorting it out. Did not like and don't expect that I was received the service what I paid for.

No hooks in the shower to hang a towel or clothes. It would be nice if you provide an iron for ironing clothes. We needed to talk to someone urgent but the customer service does not pick up the call. Every time it took us six to seven calls to reach them. Otherwise it was good and couple of kilometers from the major tourist attractions.

we loved our stay in Das Salz. Parking is a bit complicated and the surroundings are not so nice but it is very close to the center.

The property is really nice and finished to a high standard however, the room we had was different to the room in the images when selecting - we were shown a balcony and did not have one. Not having a reception at all is a bit of an issue, we were unable to request additional pillows for the stay. The cleaners also entered our room at 8am in the morning and did not refill our hand soap or body wash. It is a decent hub to explore from but, there is nothing significant nearby and it is a cold walk along the river in winter if you are going then

The hotel location is not that convenient and only limited choice of restaurants nearby. I stayed on 1/F facing the street, it was quite noisy at night even all the windows and curtains are closed. The room condition is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is really good.

We stayed on the 4th floor. When we closed the window it was SILENT! Shades and dark curtains kept ALL the light out. Wonderful nights sleep! 20 minute walk to the main train station. Very easy. The staff was super friendly and spoke beautiful English. We really enjoyed our stay!

No amenties inside the room (no kattle is available) and the layout is inconvenient. Parking is expensive, it costs euro 21 per day. Parking is away fom the hotel. Hotel is located along a busy road. unloading of luggage is very inconvenient especially for seniors.

No reception desk. Online check in only,and that was a terrible experience. We arrived at the property and had no idea how to check in. Another guest let us into the lobby but there were no instructions on how to check in. Apparently we were supposed to receive check in information 24 hours previously but we didn’t receive the email. Room and location were average at best, We were supposed to stay 3 nights but cancelled after the 1st night and moved to another hotel in a better location.

Property is too small for more than one or couple and not good for business purposes because.no privacy of shower door due to glass door spot light. Toilet has no sink inside and very unhinged to open the door with dirty hand got to the bedroom for wash. Had booked a room for 3 people, only to find upon arrival that there was bed linen and towels for only 2. (So missing for 1 person) As the hotel has no front desk, I had to call. First spoke with a lady, later a man. They were very friendly, but it took 4,5 hour for them to get the bedlinen sorted. The room is nice, but be aware that the shower has a see through glass door. For family it's probably ok, but for friends travelling together this might be an issue.

The photos on Expedia are very misleading. Make sure you’re booking a suite if you want what’s in the photos. The standard room I got was worse than expected. The location is ok but it’s still about a mile from the city center. They also tidied up the room a bit even though we had the DND flyer on the door.

Our stay at Das Salz was lovely. We had a bit of trouble with parking initially but staff over the phone and at the cafe was very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our room was next to the road on the first floor and so it was quite noisy at night, but overall everything inside the hotel was very nice. Only about a 20 minute walk from the main square.
