For the price I really do think it is worth specially if you travel alot

There is a nice common area for each floor with micro wave dishes and stuff which was nice, and there is a sink inside the bedroom which I think was very very convenient. Didnt meet any staff so no comments on that but I liked the lock on the rooms as everything was digital and secure

The toilets are a bit small and cramped up and it honestly depends on how clean the guests are during the stay, however on the plus side it was cleaned everyday

An Absolute Gem of a Hostel!

This hostel was a delight. I stayed three nights in a private twin, which suited me perfectly. The room was big enough to spread out and relax, the bed was comfortable, and the toilet/shower were easily accessible and always clean. The location is close to the train but you're still close to the action via a lovely stroll along the picturesque river. I never heard a peep from other guests. Never heard the cleaners. There are barely any staff so check-in and out is all digital - so he aware if you require more 'personalised' service. For me it was a dream - in and out. Easy. I stayed in a 'fancy' place for my first night in Salzburg and this place, for a quarter of the price, blew it out of the water. I see people complaining about the pillow size but honestly, use some of your clothes or a towel or something if you need it. I found it fine and I'm a side sleeper. This is my absolute go-to accom in Salzburg. Thanks to the owners and team for having a cool place with kooky decor - much appreciated. Oh and I stayed when it was hot so the lack of a/c concerned me beforehand but with the windows open at night and the fan, it was fine. The rooms keep the heat out really well.

Honestly, the ooonly thing I can think of is the wifi was a little weak and unreliable at times but pfft whatever.

Everything. It's so so overpriced for what you get. Showers and toilets are not in rooms. And they are small and yuck. Very very noisy. Right by train lines. No aircon just a tiny fan in your room. Beds are rock hard. No one to check you in it's all online.

The room was clean as were the showers and toilets. It's is close to the city centre but I would have preferred something the other side of the railway bridge. Having the key code was good as I didn't have to worry about carrying a key, especially when going to the bathroom. A fan was provided in the room. The bed was comfortable

Obviously, as it's an Eco hostel there is no air conditioning so it was a bit warm in the small room but luckily they provided a fan.

First time hostel user and find it convenient

It was my first time ever staying in a self check in hostel. I find it very convenient and would consider staying in these types of accommodation in the future too. Obviously shared bathroom with other 3 rooms was not convenient but it is what it is. But loved the private room with the sink and the mirror. There was a kitchen and staff prepared food which seems popular although I did not use it. Loved the Eco friendly theme. And I enjoyed my no fuss stay here.

Expected much better

The room was good, location was perfect and it was of walking distance from many main locations.

First, communication with the staff who were supposed to be available 24/7 was terrible. They would only answer to the questions that suit them. They did not provide us with any guest mobility tickets claiming that the responsible party was not responding, although we contacted them and they responded immediately. They are also not flexible, and actually charged my card more than the amount that was supposed to be taken. The Eco concept is nice, but some maintenance wouldn’t hurt. The walls were in very bad condition and the floor squeaked every time you would walk on it. It is very noisy and hard to sleep. The common toilet was also very dirty and smelled so bad. No privacy at all in the showers.

The price was great for the area and we were close to everything albeit the area we were in didn’t have a huge amount going on. The style of rooms were nice for a one night stay.

Just perfect !

The room was clean and had everything we needed. Worth going with kids to "taste" the simple living, to teach them to value everything. A proof that the recycling is possible. Close to the train station, to the center too, was just perfect for us.

I saw coments about the train passing in the night. If you close the window, open the fan eventualy, then you can sleep like a baby. The door is isolated ,so really no noice.

The best hostel, facilities + location!

I liked all facilities the rustic theme, everything exceptional clean, bed very comfy, the fact that the bedroom has a sink in the room it's a big plus and the water is drinkable (very tasty water, no bleach or any chemicals in the tap water ). The kitchen is very clean and has a coffee machine where you can buy coffee. staff really amazing and helpful!the best type hostel I've ever been I recommend this 10 out of 10!

The code from my room stopped working and I couldn't get in stucked in a hall. Maybe would be better if the rooms would have normal keys because if you are stuck outside your room with no help you have a choice of spending night in a corridor or other people shouting at you (not helping).

I am seriously disappointed that we had to pay so much and did not get the basic things.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it is near to the station. It was easy for us to travel.

1. When a couple books a private room in an hotel, it is quite obvious that they want a bed together and we got bunk beds. If we wanted to sleep in bunk beds, then we would have gone to hostels, why would we pay this hotel so much and sleep separately. 2. The Wifi signal was very poor. 3. The hotel shared bathrooms are equipped with sensor based lights and the sensors are at the entrance of the bathroom, if we go inside, after sometime the lights go off and there is no way to switch them back on, without us coming outside. I used the bathrooms three days in dark.

For a little more I could have gotten a really nice hotel room but I was curious. I was disappointed. The room felt clammy one of the lights was broken. The other guets staying there were loitering in front of the entrance and made me feel uncomfortable.

A thoughtfully designed and comfortable place to stay. Warm and cozy! I recommend.

A super location, a super concept and beautifully fitted out. The rooms were unusual and interesting to be in and also very comfortable and fun. I loved the repurposed mirrors and stories about how the rooms were designed. Great hot water, good toilet and shower facilities. Comfy mattress, quality towels. Very easy to check in and out. Also the cafe on the ground floor was great. I will stay here again and recommend!

It was a tiny bit noisy, there was hammering and drilling in the room next door one morning.. and I could hear my neighbours in the night - which in fact for the quality of the place, the price of the room, facilities and location was fine really. No harm done. I just made sure I slept in ear plugs.

The location was amazing and the staff were incredible at communicating. The place is very quirky and they tell you information about everything, walls, sinks, beds etc.

In the room and via message the host asked for us to pay city tax which we had already paid in our original booking. If we hadnt of realised then we would of paid extra as this was sent in a message to us. Messages are answered relatively slow so if there are any problems it may be difficult to get a quick answer.

Nice sustainable accommodation

I really liked the sustainability factor, you could see that they live it and don't pretend like many big hotel chains. The location is very convenient, everything you need is close by including public transport. Only 10 min walk from the main train station. The checkin and checkout process was digital and super easy. The bed was comfy.

Unfortunately because the train tracks are next to the hostel, you can hear every single train running by, when you have your window open. I can only sleep with open windows for fresh air so I had a pretty rough night. For that I wasn't able to rate 10, only 9. Then there's a small thing I'd like to recommend. It would have been nice to have a hook for the towel next to the shower and a shower tray inside the shower. (Of course it can be 2nd hand ;))
