The property is located central to all major attractions and ferry terminal in Stresa. For those self-driving to Stresa, there are 24 hour free parking areas along the main road (approaching Stresa from Milan), conveniently located just a short walk away to the property. Marisa provides the most delightful breakfasts. Having previously run her own restaurant over the past 40 years, Marisa expertly bakes on-site delicious cakes, prepares fresh fruit salads, toasties and bruschettas end many more items for her guests. We felt warmly welcomed from the first time we arrived until the last day we departed. We’d happily recommend ‘Al San Michele’ for your next stay in Stresa!

Three great nights in Stresa

Very quiet yet only seconds to the lake front and located in the old town. We had the top floor room with a small balcony to sit out and enjoy the evening. Super clean and great breakfast including home baking.

Really comfortable room, very quiet, delicious breakfast with freshly made toasties, homemade cake, great coffee, and a very friendly hostess. Also it's so central, right by the ferry terminal to the islands, but on a nice quiet street.

Character and great location.

A very comfortable guest house in a fantastic location. Only 100 yards from the lake and extremely convenient for boat trips and restaurants . We were welcomed on our arrival and given maps and other information.

Room was small ish but had everything you could need - comfy large bed and air con, and for the character of the location was really amazing value

The owner was considerate and friendly, provided us with excellent instructions on how to find the property, and let us try out our Italian, though she spoke good English. The breakfasts were delicious, the room spotless, and the location ideal.

The only "con" - the bed was too firm for us, but may be ok for others. (We are both quite light people.)

Fishers tour around Europe

The perfect location, near the front and boats to the islands, but nice and quiet. Around the corner from a main square with numerous restaurants. The host was wonderful and went out of her way to make your stay exceptional, freshly baked home made cakes every day, the smell was amazing. Breakfast served to you and something new every day. Nothing was too much trouble, my husband mentioned he liked cherry yoghurt, next morning there it was, the host bought some especially for him. The rooms were wonderful, clean, modern and so comfortable. What a find, don't miss staying here, especially if you like local hospitality and not big commercial hotels.

A getaway weekend to visit islands

Everything. This is a new venue. The owner, she is amazing. Breakfast is a big plus! Location is just 2 minutes away from the boat piers. You can really see the attention to the details in a room. We stayed on the top floor, the cheaper option and it was amazing. Would go back any time! Highly recommended!

Bien ubicado, limpio y en buen estado.

El alojamiento esta en muy buen estado, limpio y con camas cómodas. Esta ubicado al lado de la calle principal y muy cerca de la zona de restaurantes y del puerto para coger los barcos que van a las islas Borromeas.

El pago de la tasa turística es solo en metálico, y en horario de 8:00AM a 10:00AM, por lo que condiciona el viaje a ese tramite; en mi caso el día que iba a pagar la persona de recepción no llegó hasta las 8.20.
