The bed was a bit hard, the lighting in the cafe/ restaurant area is uncomfortably light and breakfast was okay but not great

Great location, but expensive for the shortcomings.

Location in the old town, close to the beach and the ferry pier. Bright, clean bathroom, good water pressure. Elevator in the building.

The breakfast was completely lacking in vegetables. The egg cooker (self-service) was strange and inconvenient. The TV channels were only in Italian. The room lacked a fridge/minibar and glasses. The pillows were too hard. However, the price of the room was high.

Great location, perfect service and atmosphere!

The location is perfect right in the center of town. 15 mins walk from the station and 1 min walk to the ferries. The hotel is simple but very clean and spacious rooms with a gorgeous balcony over a main square. The staff made our short stay just perfect!! A walk welcome and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. a special thank you to Marina on the front desk!

The perfect getaway

The position, in the city center easy to go around. The room was very nice and clean, and the bathroom had all the necessities. The breakfast was super and it went from salty till sweets including pancakes.

Hotel is "in center of Stresa city center" . A few meters to the Lake waterfront. Despite its locatated in the city center there is very quiet because it is a pedestrian zone. Recommendation for people who comes by car. Put to the navigation no hotel address but parking on Piazza Gugliemo Marconi near to ferry boat port. It is aprox 100 m from the hotel. And ask on hotel front desk parking ticket. Ticket on the front desk costs 10euros/24hrs

Typical breakfast "Italiano style". A lot of sweet, not any vegetables, not any cooked food as scrambled eggs, ham and eggs etc (only self cooked boiled eggs).

Good 3 star hotel, excellent location.

At centre location, a block from ferry terminal to islands. Many restaurants within a few blocks. Perfect for a short stay. Coffee is good. Bed is firm, excellent hot shower, water pressure good. Hotel has elevator.

Great economy motel in center

Modern? Maybe 30 years ago, but it serves it's purpose. Location is great! 5/10min walk to the train station. 3min walk to the seaside where there is a bus stop that takes you to nearby towns. 3min walk to main square with shops and restaurants.

We chose this for the air conditioning which made a loud and annoying sound everytime it switched on. The bed was comfortable but unfortunately the noise made for an unpleasant night sleep.

Excellent stay in perfect location

Classic family-run 3-star hotel with restaurant. Don't let the slightly out-of-date decor fool you; this hotel is in an excellent location, is run by friendly, professional, helpful people, has spotlessly clean rooms (with air conditioning), and an awesome free breakfast. Dinner is also available, we ate here two of three nights and had excellent service and food. In fact, the raviolini with butter and marjoram was one of my favorite meals over ten days. When my mom wasn't feeling well, the waitstaff went out of their way to get her something her traitorous stomach could handle. Ask for any room ending in 15 for great views over the piazza; noise was not a problem, as once your balcony door is closed, the room is peaceful and calm.

A large, clean and quiet room, all facilities work properly. The location is excellent: right in the center of the city. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good and it is included in the room's price.

The electrical kettle for making tea would be helpful.

Amazing hotel in stresa

We were so well looked after at hotel moderno. The location is amazing, right in the middle of stresa, the staff were so friendly and hardworking. Everyone spoke English and was very patient when I tried to speak Italian! The room was cleaned and bed changed everyday. Our balcony overlooked the main square of stresa and was well worth the extra money as it was a beautiful view and so nice to sit out and relax on. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of food every morning, we ate at the restaurant in the evening as well which was very nice. The hotel really exceeded our expectations.

The WiFi in our room was a bit patchy and sometimes cut out so we had to go to the main hotel lobby to get a better connection.

Delightful stay on Stresa

Great location just 1 street back from main waterfront, which meant no noise from traffic. Our room overlooked the town Piazza, which was nice. Staff were courteous and efficient. Location in town was ideal.

Restaurant personnel was almost unpleasant at our first evening, when we stopped for late evening drink, and they did not know we lived there. Beds were quite old and poor and breakfast worse than in pictures.
