Beds were comfortable, room size for families good, location very central

The place is falling apart. Skirting boards loose & falling down, plugs coming out of wall, bathroom very old with broken tiles, water wasn't hot, paint peeling off the doors. Breakfast was awful. Coffee undrinkable. I think all the cereal was old, cakes came out of long life packaging and the floor was so dirty - disgusting - in the Breakfast room we didn't trust the hygiene of the place enough to enjoy anything.

Good

Continental breakfast was served which was good for us. Location was superb as the hotel is only few metres away from the main street where shops and restaurants were easy to access to. Staff was helpful and always with a smile :)

There was no central heating so we felt a bit cold especially evening time. We asked the receptionist and we were informed that it comes from a region rules. Would have appreciate if it was listed on the hotel facilities so we could have packed thicker clothes for staying in the hotel room.

Good location and good breakfast

Good location and close vicinity to Lago Maggiore and the beachwalk. Rather calm street and good restaurants near by. The breakfast was suprisingly good... not superfancy but rich and had the things you expect. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms was clean, bed rather comfy and we had a small balcony (which allways is a plus).

This is an old and a little bit worn establishment. The elevator is small and the overall interior is a little sedated but clean. Price vs performance makes this place a good deal but if you want a fancy modern stay there are other places in Stresa... but then you have to pay considerably more.

Location was excellent

Booking.com advertised the room with a balcony but I didn’t get a balcony. Primavera kindly gave me a small discount on my rate. The passageways could do with some TLC as the aircon and cupboard doors were falling off

Perfect spot for 2 nights at the end of our holiday and a great spot to explore Stresa and the Lake

The hotel is in the pedestrian part of the town, so the location is amazing and very close to the lake shore and where the ferry's depart for the islands. It does however mean that you can not park very close so pack wisely as you will need to carry your luggage to the hotel. Otherwise it is in a fantastic area, close to the centre square and other attractions.

The place to stay in Stresa is Primavera right in the midst of the charm of the town.

Location was fabulous! The owner/manager was the most delightful jovial fellow. His staff reflected that at all times.

to be picky, the breakfast could have had a little more variety perhaps from day to day. But the food was fine and there was well prepared fresh fruit salad every morning.

Worst experience in Stresa

Nothing to like

The total experience was terrible. We booked and paid for 2 rooms on booking.com, but on check-in hotel manager told us that he doesn't have 2 rooms, he has only 1 (EVEN IT WAS CONFIRMED BY BOOKING FOR 2 ROOMS). He told that he can give instead of the second room, some apartment near by. When we said that we are here for business trip and need to wakeup very early for work he told its not his problem and we must to accept some apartment. We said that we are going to complain for booking.com, he told nobody will care about your complain especially with your passports (Moldova, Russian and Indian). Since it was a night, we did not have any choice, but do not recommend this hotel for people who are planing trip there.

We paid for a double bed but were given 2 singles pushed together. We also thought that there was a poor selection of breakfast food and we thought that there was an unpleasant smell in the hotel.

Perfect for a romantic Italian weekend getaway

The staff are very nice, easy going and helpful. The room itself was quite clean and very well organized for a family of 4 (a double bed for the parents and two single beds for the kids on each side. The location is right off the city center and a minute walk from the lake. The bedroom we stayed in was visible updated recently with nice headboards and new curtains compared to the bathroom. Satisfying continental breakfast paired with a selection of Italian brioche and very good coffee.

Bathroom was old and unrenovated with chips on the door, stickers coming off some tiles even though it didn’t feel dirty it felt used. The water separator glass was not actually connecting to the bath rim so water was escaping and splashing onto the floor… with a nice cold puddle waiting for you when stepping onto the floor towel. The bed was quite hard and I could feel a bedspring, I suppose the box spring needing an update.

A very well placed central hotel, within the narrow charming streets of Stresa. Clean, big room. 4 th floor rooms have lake view which is a bonus.

Breakfast is continental,limited options. Prices in Northern Italy are high, so all in all we paid a fair amount.

great location, great staff

The room was clean and seemed recently renovated, the air conditioning worked well, breakfast service was efficient and all staff were friendly and spoke a variety of languages, specifically French and English, but I think I also heard them speaking German. We booked the restaurant Al Storno, which is run by the hotel as a separate restaurant and it was very good - highly recommended.

The bathroom fixtures were in need of renovation, specifically the shower cubicle frame had corrosion around the metal joints and didn't easily close or open, and the wall fixtures for the shower head and hairdryer were poorly finished - lack of attention to detail. Some of the light switches in the room didn't work, but this wasn't an issue for us tbh.

Excellent staff, breakfast was a little bit disappointing

Very central location. The room was big enough for us and our 2 kids (3 and 7 years old). The staff was very helpful, they booked the Lago Maggiore express)trip for us. At 10PM I stopped at the desk just to have some information about the trip. They ended booking the all trip for us. By the next morning all the tickets were available at the desk. That is excellent service!

Parking is at a 10min walk. Breakfast could be a bit better.
