Our check in was moved to an earlier time to suit our needs, Murray was “spot on”

This property has an amazing choice of hot drinks not only in the room but also at breakfast and talking of breakfast there is something for everyone. Full English, toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurts and fresh pastries and it’s all help yourself

Excellent accomadation nothing was to much trouble for the host would stay again.

The Kildare was very clean. Breakfast was the best we have every had with so many choices and self serve process was very good with everything explained on arrival. The area was very good and an easy walk to the centre. Room was great and good in size. Added extras eg shower gel soap etc was a great added extra.

Nice Hotel

The hotel was spotlessly clean. Host was friendy and explained how things worked. Good WiFi. There were USB charging ports as well. It is in a good area only a 10 minute walk from the railway/bus station, town centre and promenade. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Location was fabulous - less than 5 mins to the clock tower Murray was very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed Room was brilliant, clean and well catered and the bathroom exceptional Breakfast was very well catered with large amount of options

Everything you need for a short or long stay, try it you will like it.

The hot breakfast was very good, plenty of choice, and we counted 13 different cereals to choose from. Then there was pastries, fruit and yogurts. Very enjoyable breakfast. And on top of that a free upgrade in room Brill.

There was nothing to dislike about this B&B, We would stay there again.

The breakfast was a buffet and it was amazing. We have had buffet breakfast before but this was exceptional due to the amount of choice.

Unfortunately we had the top floor room and I did struggle a bit due to breathing issues but this is entirely my fault as if I had booked earlier would have 1st floor room. As long as you are fit and healthy this would not be a problem to most people.

It was close to the centre, amendments etc, room clean

The photo on Booking.com show that there was a garden but there was only a smoking area not the gardens with chairs. That part had got private on the gate, parking which did state there was only a few, had to park away from the hotel. Don't come in and check if you got enough tea, coffee & milk or empty the bin

Highly recommend staying

The Kilmarnock was very welcoming and very helpful. The whole place was very clean and well presented. The breakfast was beautiful . The room was spotless. We just can't fault it in any way . We will definitely be booking again . Thanks murry. You do a fantastic job 👏

On arrival the owner greeted us ,very polite lovely man checked us in early,showed us around and explained facilities,he then carried our luggage and took us to our room.fantastic first impressions.The room was lovely and clean ,little dated but its an old building,drinks eg tea ,coffee in room with great choice and spacious.Only thing you can hear floors creaking with every movement and hear every footstep but not something to complain about its the age of the building.Breakfast was so nice ,all you can eat from full english to toast,waffles,pancakes ,cereal there was everything you could think of and you can have all you can eat.The cooked breakfast was exceptional perfectly cooked no cheap rubbish.Good locatiin close to everythingyou can come and go at your own leisure your given key for front door,garden area.Overall The owner Murray was so pleasant and proffessional he made our stay would definatly return ,keep up the good work Murray as i said the hostest with the mostest ,exceptional 10/10 ,thankyou kelly and craig xx

Location very good and did exactly what it said on the tin

The only slight negative is it would of been nice to have a little extension on the breakfast times , 8-00 till 9-30 rather than just until 9 but that’s just our preference, but the breakfast was excellent

My son and I enjoyed our stay (despite the beds), everything we needed was within easy reach of the.

The host and owner,Murray was friendly, hospitable, communicative. The breakfast was second to none and plentiful. The location was ideal for the waterfront and restaurants - all within walking distance. The room was clean and enough for a base. There was a good set of guides for restaurants and other attractions.

We were in a room with twin beds which were not terribly comfortable. That was the only grouse.

The phone call the day b4 from Murray was lovely advising us to knock on the door when we get there as our room may be ready b4 16.00 hours Our room was ready at 11.30 when got there.

Lovely rooms, clean and spacious. Friendly and attentive host, though we didn't eat there in the morning there was a good selection of breakfast options. Great location, close to the beach but out of the way of the busier areas if you prefer that, like I do. Will definitely book again.

4 star comfort and facilitie at very reasonable cost

Murray the owner couldn't have done any more for us, he is so thoughtful and attentive, the room we had was room 8, nice and roomy with big windows giving a double aspect, very light and airy, the double bed was very comfortable, Murray even offered a selection of pillows and duvets

EXCELLENT SO WELCOMED

Murry the proprietor was so accommodating nothing was to much trouble he was very attentive he phoned me the night before & told me the room would be available from 10 am the next day if I required it My grandaughter aged 5yrs likes strawberries 🍓 for breakfast we got down to breakfast both mornings of our 2 night stay and a bowl of fruit was there especially made for her 😀 really exceptional breakfast and such a wide variety from full English to cereals crumpets pancakes jams chocolate sreads and such a choice of coffee ( coffee machine) Tassimo & teas to many to mention also coffee machines in the rooms with a complimentary coffee pod the family room was big with a quite large single room really large bathroom and walk in shower crisp white bedding lovely large white bath sheets immaculately clean right throughout the hotel I can see why Murry gets a lot of retuning quests we will definitely be one of those 5 minutes walk from the clock tower but a quiet rd with good parking facilities all in all we were made to feel so welcomed 😀 we would highly recommend 👌 Thankyou Murray your a super hero
