The grounds were full of wildlife and beautiful! Everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. Our house was spacious and fully stocked. Our family, including 3 teenagers, had a great time swimming and relaxing.

This is a very special property in the jungle. The food prepared at the restaurant was superb. There was a lovely infinity pool that we were able to enjoy. (Temps were in the mid-90s) We stayed in one of the treehouses and loved it. Very well appointed. Pretty pathways throughout the property. Be sure to visit the green iguana rescue in San Ignacio. The property's location is handy for Mayan ruins and cave tours. Love this place.

This was our first hotel on a two week trip around Belize. We stayed at 6 other hotels/cabanas over our whirlwind tour of this great country. We waited until the end to make sure, but this was our favorite resort of all that we stayed. The cabin we stayed in (Hibiscus), was well appointed. The staff did a phenomenal job - they made up the extra bed in the room when we arrived and ironed the sheets as they made the bed. The daily towel animals were a nice touch too! The infinity pool was clean and relaxing. Food at the restaurant was amazing - highly recommend it. We really enjoyed watching all the animals on the property. The staff were phenomenal, making sure everything was taken care of. Highly recommend this resort!

We had a fantastic stay at Vanilla Hills. Our cabin was very comfortable with awsome views out of all of the windows. The on-site restaraunt has fantastic food and we enjoyed a special tapas tasing event while we were there. We would definitely return.

Vanilla Hills was a beautifully designed and executed resort. Every detail was carefully thought through and we were well taken care of for every part of our stay. Claudia, Karina and the entire staff were so attentive and kind. The food and drinks were incredible, and we loved getting to watch all the wildlife visiting to munch on fruit provided by the groundskeepers. Vanilla Hills coordinated all of our transport and excursions to be provided by Belize Caving Expeditions, and everything was top quality and so much fun. Thank you Vanilla Hills team!

We loved our stay in the Gumbo Limbo Treehouse! The room was beautiful and staff were amazing! We even had a troop of monkeys playing in the trees one morning while we were there.

The grounds and staff far exceeded our expectations. The tree houses were perfect and private. The showers were so cool. We ate every meal there during our three day stay and each one was delicious. The pool is beatiful and the bar is always open. Vanilla Hills arranged all of our transportation and tours and kept us on track letting us know each evening when we needed to be where. Vanilla Hills Lodge is a fantastic place to spend your downtime while exploring all that the surrounding area has to offer.

Our Vanilla Hills stay exceeded all expectations & we cannot wait to get back! Located just a few minutes from San Ignacio, it’s a prefect home-base to hit Maya ruins, ATM Cave Tour, Big Rock Waterfalls, etc. Our lovely Tree House was well appointed, beyond clean and had the most AMAZING indoor/outdoor shower!!! One of my trip highlights was showering in a jungle 😊 The onsite restaurant was delicious, and the pool was pristine and morning & evening. The entire staff was warm, engaging, and happy to help with plan/tour suggestions. THANK YOU, Claudia, for the “unbelizable” accommodations, cooking and personal touch. See you again soon! wonderful resort with great food and staff. only 2 negatives were I notified the owner that the foliage needs to be trimmed at the entrance to my cabin but it was not done. A big disappointment was that not no Belizean food was on the menu. Travel is to experience different foods and cultures but sadly not in this case.

Tucked outside of town Vanilla Hills was perfect for our family of 6. While most of the accommodations were smaller, our 6 person guesthouse was tucked into the jungle with beautiful views from the balcony. We ate both nights at the Three Senses (sight, smell and taste) restaurant where all of us (ages 7 to 80) were well fed and wonderfully satisfied. The boys loved the pool and the grandparents loved the newly built bar area for their evening espresso. The staff and owners were very attentive and took good care of is, you felt like family. I would highly recommend a stay, much better than a large hotel.

Our stay was AMAZING!! Mark made our visit so personal and warm, he’s the best. The restaurant was delicious and accommodating to my friend’s dietary needs. I would recommend Vanilla Hills over and over again. We stayed in the large villa and had so much space and privacy. The infinity pool was perfect, and there’s a walkable river access we went to as well! There’s tons to see and do on the property as well as nearby. Our stay was perfect. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner with easily the best food we had on the trip and at a fair price. Everyone was personable and the place is very inviting and welcoming. Our stay was one of the highlights of our trip. Everything top notch. Beautiful grounds and pool area. Comfortable accomodations and great staff. This is a boutique hotel in a quiet and relaxed setting. The culinary offerings for this small hotel were amazing! The chef prepared gourmet meals that were the best of our trip. Truly delicious! I would recommend inquiring about the meal plan for your stay. The owner arranged some great day tours for us to ATM and Caracol. We enjoyed the mornings with lots of bird watching to be had while eating breakfast. You will enjoy staying here!

We had such a great time here. We stayed in the king tree house. It truly was like staying in your dream tree house. Full glass windows let you wake up and see the trees and wildlife first thing. The outdoor shower was very relaxing and private. Claudia was so gracious and had lots of suggestions for the best things to do. She booked our tour of the ATM and we had such a knowledgeable and fun guide named Patrick. The food at the restaurant was very good and servings were very generous. You can watch the birds and wildlife feed as you eat. The pool is also very nice. Another nice thing they do for you is put everything on your bill at the end so you only have one transaction fee. I highly recommend a visit here!

We had a wonderful stay at Vanilla Hills with our 4 children. We stayed at the villa. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us. The property was gorgeous with opportunities to see wildlife each morning, including Toucans and Coatis. We loved swimming in the pool and sitting on our porch. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant each day and the food was amazing and fairly priced! They had plenty of vegetarian options. All the staff at Vanilla Hilla were so kind and accommodating and willing to answer questions. We felt very comfortable and welcomed here. This place is really special!

We loved everything about Vanilla Hills, the treehouse was awesome the food was delicious and the staff is great. The activities we booked with their help were fantastic. The crystal cave tour with Sisco and the day trip to Tikal exceeded expectations. The whole experience was the best part of our vacation and we visited 4 other places none were as memorable as Vanilla Hills and San Ignacio.

We had an amazing time staying at Vanilla Hills Lodge. The owners were very nice and helpful, as well as all of the staff we encountered. We loved seeing all of the wildlife while eating breakfast and dinner on site. The easy access to town was very nice too, so we were able to do some shopping and eating out too. We were able to book an outing through the site and also go out on our own with our car rental. I highly recommend staying here. We absolutely loved it!

Vanilla Hills Lodge is simply outstanding. My wife and I were treated with such gracious hospitality. The location is lovely and the staff is incredibly helpful. There are so many good things to say about this place and its wonderful owners, Claudia and Franklin. They did everything they could to make sure that we had an amazing experience during our time here. Accommodations were clean and incredibly comfortable. Setting is simply lovely. We found the dining experience to be superb with excellent wait staff and superb cuisine. We look forward to returning here.

Our stay at Vanilla Hills was wonderful. Stay here. You will completely enjoy it. Vanilla Hills is in a great location that is only a few minutes out of San Ignacio. It is like staying in a nature preserve. Pool is gorgeous and the restaurant and staff are top notch. Carina at the front desk was a joy to interact with. She also brought us drinks down to the pool after a day of exploring the ATM cave and was our waitress that night as well. She was so wonderful and friendly. The owner went over and above to help me fix my glasses that had broken by loaning us a small screw driver. Felt like we were staying with family. WONDERFUL place and stay!!! Highly, highly recommend.
