Very beautiful hotel on the Mopan River, quiet location with beautiful grounds.
There were iguanas lounging on the grass next to the rushing rapids.
Amazing !! The staff were attentive to your needs.
It is a bit far from the action of San Ignacio if that matters.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The property is stunning—peaceful, lush, and perfectly situated right on the river. Everything was well kept and very clean, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable after long days of exploring. The staff were truly amazing: warm, attentive, and always willing to help.
The only thing that would have made the experience even better is having screens on the windows. It would have been lovely to keep them open at night to enjoy the sound of the rushing river.
Overall, an excellent stay and a place I would happily return to!
The property is run by Vacasa and they told me there was no way of leaving my bags if I checked in early so I had to book an extra day since I would be arriving at 11:00. That was not true so I wasted $100 USD.

Staff was so helpful and friendly! Food was delicious and generous. Prices were higher than expected, especially for alcohol but it aligns with everywhere in tourist areas of Belize.

This is a relaxing place to stay for a day or two. You can hang out down on the river itself or up at the deck with a nice view from above. The food from the hotel restaurant is surprisingly good and affordably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Location is outside of town, so you'll need to take a taxi into town (10 minutes or so) if you want to go for dinner, shop, etc. I don't think Uber is available there either. Depending on your room, you may need to climb up a couple flights of stairs to get to it.

The staff and facilities were amazing. Each person was professional, helpful, and courteous. The location was close enough to San Ignacio for a quick taxi ride but far enough away to be very relaxing.
We weren’t that comfortable in our bed. Personal preference for sure but we found it too soft and giving.

Beautiful property and suite. Friendly staff.
Not able to do nature walk by the river. I was a little disappointed that I was not able to do nature walk near there river because the property is around private residential properties. Not able to walk to town. The only place to get something to eat is at the property, the food is a little pricey, no menu/options for dinner.

Breakfast was lovely, it was next to the water and the location next to the river was great.
The location was a little out of the way and it's a dusty road.

beautiful location on the river. close to town. Loved the building and grounds, lots of charm and really liked the open-air bar and dinning area. Rooms where amazing.
we had a room that required us to go through a space that was being used for office and daycare. not a problem but it was messy at times with kids toys, etc. I think a simple partitioning off the office would cleanup the appearance.

The location and hotel were absolutely stunning!
That we had to commit to meals the day before. One staff member informed us we could order breakfast in the morning. However, the morning staff told us we couldn’t order breakfast because it was too complicated and would take too long. So we opted out of meals at the property because we felt like burdens.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the location right on the lake and tubing down the river after a short walk upstream. We enjoyed our romantic valentines dinner where the staff wrote a special message for us. Very thoughtful!
The beds could have been a bit more comfortable.

Attentive staff, beautiful surroundings, clear river you can safely swim in, clean facility and rooms, tasty fresh food, prompt food service if ordered the night before, well maintained, plenty of hot water in shower, English language cable TV with American programming, I would stay there again (GOOD VALUE)
Soft somewhat squeaky mattress, a faint musty smell in the room (but it is in a tropical climate), road noise ( sporadic during evening hours, decreasing as night went on), pool pump (filtration) not working for three of our four day- finally fixed

Mahogany Hall - located about a 10-minute drive outside San Ignacio - was the perfect location for our stay! The staff were excellent - kind, helpful, and made great drinks, and the river provided a calming presence throughout our time there. Mahogany Hall had the convenience of food on property and the capacity to book tours, while still being a bit outside of town in a quiet area. We would highly recommend it!
If you don't have a car, this could be a bit tricky to commute to and from unless you have airport transfers and tours lined up.

next to the river, out from the main town. The hotel itself was very good, with spacious rooms.
There was not much to find fault with at this excellent hotel!

Nothing in particular. However the view from the terrace of the river is pretty
This stablishment is not very user friendly. There are no elevators analthough the staff will carry the luggage up to the room, there really should invest in an elevator, especially for the guests staying at the suites.
The eating facilities are bizarre. On our first evening we wanted two glasses of wine with dinner, but that was not possible as we needed to purchase a full bottle. On another day we wanted to dine at 7:30 pm but that was not possible either because the chef left at 7:00 pm. Another querky thing is that you have to order breakfast the night before. This is Fawlty Towers on steroids. What is ironic is that the owner is a charming man from the US but he's been let down by the staff.
The establishement is located in a part of San Ignacio that I would not want to be walking in the night. There are no restaurants or shops close to the hotel, which means that you have to travel by car to the city centre to buy whatever provisions you need.

Mahogany Hall has set a new standard for us. We loved the room, location, pool, bar and food. This place is set right next to a beautiful river that we enjoyed swimming in! The pool was great to sit at in the evenings and enjoy a drink and the sound of the river and jungle. The best part of our stay here was the hospitality. The staff was incredible and so kind. The food is cooked fresh and is amazing!! They took excellent care of us from the get go and made us feel very special. Mahogany Hall is a special place that we won't ever forget. Thank You to all the staff, especially Jose', for our wonderful stay.

The hotel was on the river. The 3rd floor room was spacious and very nice. Beds were comfortable.
They advertised a hot tub, it was a jacuzzi tub. The stairs were extremely steep to the second and 3rd floors. By that I mean there was at least 12 inch rise on the stairs. I practically had to crawl up the stairs! The pool did not look clean and clear. It was a bit green...

Love this boutique hotel. Staff was so friendly and attentive. Building was beautiful with beautiful garden on the river bank. Fresh flowers and botanicals in rooms and around the hotel added a luxurious touch. Bed was cozy. Not busy so practically had the whole place to ourselves. Love the sound of the river, so relaxing! Hotel has tubes to use to play in the river, so much fun. Tried fishing in the river. They made our 40th wedding anniversary so special. Thank you!❤️
Hotel is located a ways out from San Ignacio, so a vehicle is a must. No problem for us at all, as we loved the quiet location and had a rental car.
