    Great location. Lovely lobby! I don’t know if it’s a Canadian thing but there is no way to contact the front desk unless you walk down to the lobby, very strange. The room was cleaned but not cleaned. Bedspread was put nicely on the bed but the flat sheet was pushed down near the bottom of the bed where it was that morning. Therefore the sheets were not washed. Very disappointed and pretty gross.

    If you plan to stay in Edinburgh, I highly recommend this hotel because its location is very strategic. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Tom. THANK YOU SO MUCH, TOM. He’s the most helpful staff in my entire UK trip. My suggestion is to avoid booking a basic room, as you may find it difficult to locate your room, the layout feels like a maze.

    You have to request the service of the room. There are no bins in the room, and when we requested a bin, we were told it is a motel. We should not expect a bin in the room; we should use the teeny weenie bin in the cupboard-sized bathroom. There is no direct line to reception; you have to phone the motel from your mobile to make requests. There is no room service and no one to show you to your room.
